South Kashmir man falls into drain in Rajbagh, dies

Srinagar, July 11, KNT: A man from South Kashmir died after falling into a roadside drain in Armwari area of Raj Bagh Srinagar on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Jamal Wagay son of Ghulam Qadir Wagay, a resident of Kokarnag Anantnag.
Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the victim was walking and failed to notice the presence of a drain. He slipped into it and sustained grievous injuries.
Hearing his cries, people rushed to the spot and shifted him to SMHS Hospital where he died without responding to treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
