‘This is Inhumane’: CUET UG 2025 Aspirants Distressed Over Exam Centres in Conflict Zones and far-off locations
NEW DELHI: Once again, the CUET UG 2025 is under scrutiny over examination centres this time. Still worried about the India-Pakistan border situations, some Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 aspirants have urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) to re-allot exam centres. On the other hand, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma called upon Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding the issue of CUET UG 2025 exam centres.
“Called on Hon’ble Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan ji to take up the issues faced by our youth regarding the allocation of exam centers in locations outside Meghalaya for CUET 2025,” said Sangma in a post on X.
Meanwhile, candidates demanded change in exam centres citing their inability to visit Jammu and Kashmir for writing the exam. Some also questioned how previously the CUET UG 2025 admit card displayed ‘postponed’ and now have been made visible.
CUET UG 2025 is going to be held from May 13 to June 3. Amid India-Pakistan conflict, it was expected that the CUET UG exam date 2025 might be revised, however, NTA just postponed the exams in some cities.

CUET UG 2025 exam centres
“Students appearing for CUET (UG) 2025 are extremely confused. Yesterday, the portal showed ‘Postponed’ for our city, but later the exam center details became visible again. What exactly is happening? Kindly clarify urgently,” a student said in a post on X.
Another CUET UG 2025 candidate wrote, “My CUET (UG) 2025 exam was initially marked as postponed (as shown on the admit card), but now the date and center are unchanged. Traveling from Rajouri to Jammu at short notice is difficult. Please clarify the situation and help.”
“Shame on you Dharmendra Pradhan and NTA. This is inhumane that in this war-like situation you have allotted CUET UG centres to other states. Despite our requests you didn’t take any step. This is not less than anti-national activity,” stated another student.
A CUET 2025 applicant from Jammu said, “CUET UG exam is scheduled for 13th May 2025. In light of the current situation, request to Jammu and Kashmir LG and chief minister to take up the matter with concerned authorities and consider postponing the exam, as travel is not feasible for students.”
Another aspirant from Jammu posted, “Request you to please postpone the CUET UG entrance exams because this time it is not possible for me to appear in this exam because my Centre is Iqbal Instt. Of Tech. & Management, Laloo, Hyderpora, it is too difficult to attend JMU to Srinagar.”
