Administrative Reshuffle in J&K Prosecution Department: Key Officers Assigned New Roles

   

In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Government Order No. 601-Home, dated 07.12.2023, announcing significant transfers and postings within the Prosecution Department for effective administrative functioning.

1. Shri Qazi Abdul Qayoom: Former Joint Director, has been posted as the Joint Director at ZPHQ, Kashmir. This move is expected to bring valuable expertise to the critical position.

2. Shri Peer Afaq Ahmad: Previously Deputy Director, has been reassigned as the Deputy Director at CTC Lethpora, filling an existing vacancy. His experience is anticipated to contribute to the operational efficiency of the department.

3. Shri Riaz Ahmad Dar: Former Chief Prosecuting Officer, is now posted as the Chief Prosecution Officer at the Anti Corruption Bureau, addressing another vacant position. This strategic placement aims to enhance the department’s commitment to combating corruption.

Additionally, the government order includes the transfer of one Joint Director post from the overall cadre strength of the Prosecution Service to ZPHQ, Kashmir. This adjustment is made to facilitate the salary drawl in favor of Shri Qazi Abdul Qayoom until his formal posting in ZPHQ, Kashmir.

This administrative reshuffle underscores the government’s commitment to optimizing the Prosecution Department’s capabilities and ensuring a seamless transition of responsibilities.
