Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has invited applications for Senior Administrative Officer & other posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply is till August 10, 2023.

This recruitment drive will fill up 56 posts in the organisation. Read below for eligibility, selection process and other details.

Application fees

Candidates are required to pay a fee of 25 only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment. 1.(Vacancy No.23071401622) Twenty-six vacancies for the post of Aeronautical Officer
in Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation (SC-04, ST-01, OBC-
06, EWS-03, UR-12) (PwBD-03)*. *Of the twenty-six vacancies, three vacancies are reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD). Of the three vacancies reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), one vacancy is reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Blindness and Low Vision with disability i.e. Low Vision (LV), one vacancy is reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz.Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard
of Hearing (HH) and remaining one vacancy is reserved for candidates belonging to category
of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Multiple disabilities (MD) i.e. at least
two disabilities from the categories of the disabilities indicated below i.e. Blindness and
Low Vision with disability i.e. Low Vision (LV), Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV). The vacancies are also suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Blindness and Low Vision with disability

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University. (B)

EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in aircraft design and development including aircraft
electrical or electronics or mechanical systems or airworthiness engineering.

DESIRABLE:
One year experience in aeronautical research and development or design or laboratory
investigation of failed aircraft parts or Flight Recorders involved in accident or incident or
Airworthiness Engineering. NOTE-I: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/arerelaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be
recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the
Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the
opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. DUTIES:
Assistance in examining documents pertaining to type certification (TC) of aeronautical products, issued by other countries, issued by FAA/EASA, in renewal of audit and regulatory
audit of Dos (Design Organisations). Assistance in analysis of data derived from FDRs & CVRs in testing of aeronautical materials in laboratories,, in analyzing of the failed components of airplane / helicopter involved in accident/incident, in testing of aviation turbine fuel samples, oil samples & commissioning of new tanks and any other job assigned by senior officers. HQ: Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Opposite, Safdarjung Airport, Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi with All India Service Liability (AISL). Place of Posting: DGCA HQ, New Delhi and Regional Office of DGCA, Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Any
Other Condition: Training: The newly inducted officers shall be provided induction training to
enable them to get a general understanding about the organization, its vision and mission and acquire necessary competency required for performing their job. After completion of initial induction training, the newly inducted officers will be provided on the job training to enable them to handle their responsibility independently.
2.(Vacancy No.23071402622) One vacancy for the post of Principal Civil Hydrographic
Officer in Integrated Headquarters, Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of
Defence (Navy) (UR-01). The vacancy is suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability
i.e. Deaf (D) or Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy,
Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability
i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL). The post is permanent. General Central Service
Group- “A” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. Age: 35 years.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in
Engineering in Civil or Computer Science or Information Technology OR Masters Degree in
Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics or Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology OR Pass in the final examination of the institution of surveyors in sub-division1(B) Hydrographic surveying. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) (B)

EXPERIENCE: Three
years experience in Nautical Chart Compilation and Digital Cartography. [Experience should be from Government or autonomous organization or statutory body or public sector undertaking or University or recognized research institution] DESIRABLE: (i) Certificate or diploma in a foreign language, preferably French. (ii) One year experience in application of geographical information system technology.

NOTE:The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. DUTIES: (i) Surveying and preparation of navigational charts and publications for navigation and marine safety. (ii) The job of completion and production of navigational charts and publications is performed by team of Principal Civil Hydrographic Officers who are specialized in nautical cartography. (iii) Confirmation of Geodetic data, calculation and plotting of projections to assist in compilation of navigational and other charts. HQ: New Delhi with All India Service Liability.
