Detailed Forecast:
- 9th to 12th May: The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across most parts of J&K. Residents can expect light to moderate rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds at scattered to fairly widespread locations.
- 13th to 17th May: A spell of generally dry weather is forecasted across the Union Territory. This will mark a transition to more stable conditions, especially benefiting outdoor activities and travel.

- Follow All Official Advisories: Residents and tourists are strongly urged to adhere to instructions issued by local administration and traffic authorities during adverse weather conditions.
- Avoid Water Activities During Stormy Weather: Boating, Shikara rides, and any form of water-based recreation should be avoided in Dal Lake, Wular Lake, and other water bodies during spells of inclement weather or gusty winds to prevent accidents.
- Landslide & Mudslide Risk: Intense showers, particularly in vulnerable hilly and mountainous areas, may trigger landslides and mudslides. Caution is advised for travelers and locals in such zones.
- Temperature Alert for Jammu Division: A significant rise in daytime temperatures is expected in the Jammu region from 13th May onwards, which may affect daily routines, agriculture, and water usage.
