JKBOSE Internal Assessment Awards 2025: Official Notification Released for Class 11 Annual Regular (Kashmir Division)

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), New Campus Bemina Srinagar, has officially issued a notification regarding the submission of Internal Assessment Awards for Class 11th (HSE-Ist) Annual Regular Session 2025 (Oct-Nov) for all educational institutions across the Kashmir Division, including District Kargil.

This is an important step for ensuring smooth conduct of examination evaluation and grade compilation for the current academic session. All Government and Private institutions affiliated with JKBOSE are directed to submit the internal assessment marks of eligible students within the given deadlines.

According to the notification, schools are required to submit the Internal Assessment Awards at the concerned Divisional Secrecy/Sub/Branch offices of JKBOSE by or before:

13 November 2025

After collecting the awards, the respective Sub/Branch offices must forward the compiled records to the:

Office of the Deputy Secretary, Secrecy-II, Kashmir Division by 15 November 2025.

Failure to comply with the timeline may result in penalties as per Board norms.

Why This Notification Matters

Internal Assessment Awards play a crucial role in final board results, as they reflect a student’s performance in class activities, assignments, behavior, attendance, and project work. The internal marks are added to the final score to determine pass status and overall grading.

If the awards are not submitted properly or within the given deadlines, students’ results may face delays or errors, which could lead to unnecessary academic complications.

Thus, the JKBOSE Internal Assessment Awards 2025 notification is vital for:

  • School Administrations
  • Subject Teachers
  • Examination Coordinators
  • Students of Class 11
  • Parents or Guardians

JKBOSE Internal Assessment Awards 2025: Submission Instructions for Schools

JKBOSE has laid down a set of mandatory guidelines to ensure that submissions are accurate, uniform, and error-free. All Heads of Schools must strictly follow these rules.

1. Use Only Prescribed Formats

The internal assessment marks must be recorded on officially prescribed formats available on the JKBOSE website:
www.jkbose.nic.in

2. No Overwriting or Correction Fluids

The awarded marks must be legible, neat, and without overwriting, scratching, or usage of white ink/correction fluid.

3. Submit in Duplicate

Each internal assessment sheet must be submitted in duplicate, with the full examination Roll Number clearly written and verified.

4. Proper Authentication Required

All award sheets must bear the signature of the:

  • Subject Examiner
  • Head of the Institution

Without these signatures, the awards will be considered invalid.

5. Maintain Internal Assessment Records

Schools must keep copies of internal assessments signed by:

  • Subject Teacher
  • Examination In-Charge
  • Head of Institution (HOI)

These records are important for inspection and verification.

6. Submit Within Deadline

Late submissions will attract penalties as per JKBOSE rules.

7. Institution Held Responsible for Errors

Any incorrect or erroneous award submission will lead to responsibility and accountability on the part of the concerned institution.

How Schools Should Prepare Internal Assessment Marks

To ensure accuracy, schools should follow these steps:

  1. Hold internal tests, project submissions, and class assessments beforehand.
  2. Record marks on a register or digital system.
  3. Verify marks with subject teachers.
  4. Cross-check student roll numbers with the attendance record.
  5. Prepare final award sheets neatly.
  6. Get signatures from all required authorities.
  7. Submit within the allowed date.

Impact on Students

Students are often unaware of how internal assessments influence final board results. Here’s what they should know:

Component Weightage Effect on Result
Internal Assessment ~20% (varies by subject) Adds to final score and grade
Final Theory/Practical Exams 80% approx. Determines major part of grade

Strong internal scores can:

  • Improve final grades
  • Help in passing borderline cases
  • Influence stream selection (Arts/Commerce/Science)

Thus, regular attendance, participation, and discipline throughout the year matter.

Why Timely Submission is Important

  • Ensures smooth processing of examination results.
  • Avoids result delays for students.
  • Prevents penalties on institutions.
  • Maintains transparency and academic accuracy.

Schools are therefore strongly advised to not wait until the last date.

The JKBOSE Internal Assessment Awards 2025 notification is a critical directive for all educational institutions under the JKBOSE Kashmir Division, including Kargil. Schools must download the prescribed formats, prepare award sheets carefully, ensure proper signatures, and submit within the specified deadlines.

By following these guidelines, institutions can help facilitate smooth academic evaluation and ensure that students’ results are processed without delay
