CBSE Supplementary exams 2024 registrations for Classes 10, 12 closes today, exams to begin from July 15

The CBSE supplementary exams 2024 registrations for Classes 10 and 12 closes today at cbse.gov.in. The examinations are scheduled to begin from July 15.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, will be closing the registration for the compartment exams of Class 10th and 12th today, Candidates who still have not filed their applications yet can do so by visiting the official website at cbse.gov.in.

Notably, registrations for the compartment exams for both Classes 10 and 12 began on May 31. Through the examinations, the CBSE aims to allow students who were unable to qualify in either of the exams held recently.

Worth mentioning here, that the supplementary examination will be conducted according to the syllabus prescribed for the board examination, which is available on the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. The admit card release date will be informed separately.

It may be mentioned here that the CBSE had issued a notice earlier wherein it was mentioned that students must pay a fee of 300 per subject while submitting their applications. The fee is 1000 per subject for private candidates in Nepal and 2000 per subject for candidates outside India other than Nepal. In case the deadline is missed by any candidate today, they can submit their applications on June 16 and 17, however, the application fee will be 2000, as informed in the notice.

Eligibility:

For Class 10, CBSE states that students who failed in one or two subjects can apply for the compartment examinations, whereas for Class 12, students who failed in only one subject can apply for the examinations.

Notably, the CBSE Class 10 Supplementary examination will be conducted for six days – July 15, July 16, July 18, July 19, July 20, and July 22. Most of the papers will be held for three hours, from 10:30 am and 1:30 pm while Computer Applications and Information Technology papers will be held for two hours, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on the last day of the examination.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2024: Candidates are not allowed to carry valuable/costly items like mobile phones, smart/digital watches, other IT gadgets, books, bags,etc to the exam venue.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024 on June 16, 2024. As per the earlier schedule, the preliminary examination was supposed to be conducted on May 26, 2024. The exam was postponed due to the schedule of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections that took place across the country

The e-admit cards for the candidates who have registered for the exam were released on June 7, 2024. Registered candidates who wish to download their admit cards can visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Here are some of the guidelines that the commission expects the candidates to adhere to as they appear for the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination on June 16, 2024:

Take a printout of your e-Admit Card

Candidates need to download their e-admit card from the official website of the commission and produce it at the exam centre allotted to them. Candidates who do not carry their admit cards will not be allowed to take the exam, mentioned an official notice.

Carry your Photo ID card

Candidates are required to carry their Photo ID card along, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card. According to UPSC, the Photo ID Card details which were submitted by the candidates during registration will be used for all future reference and the candidate is advised to carry this Photo ID Card while appearing for the Examination/Personality Test.

Candidates whose photograph on their e-Admit Card is not clear will have to carry two passport-size photographs (with their name and date of photograph) along with them.

Candidates who have changed their names after matriculation must carry along an e-Admit Card, a government-issued photo identity card, and/or an original gazette notification of the changed name.

Reach the exam venue on time

“ The Examination Venue will close 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination, that is at 9 AM for the forenoon session, and 2 PM for the Afternoon Session,” read an official notice. Hence candidates need to make sure that they reach the exam venue on time as no candidate will be allowed into the Examination Venue once entry is closed.

Verify the details on your e-Admit card

Candidates need to ensure that all the details like name, photograph, and the QR code on the e-Admit Card are correct.

Avoid carrying valuable/costly items to the exam venue

Candidates are not allowed to carry valuable/costly items like mobile phones, smart/digital watches, other IT gadgets, books, bags,etc to the exam venue as venue supervisors will not make any arrangements for keeping these items.

Candidates will be allowed to take only these items to the exam hall

Candidates will be allowed to carry their e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof, copies of self-photographs and any other items as specified in the instructions of the e-Admit Card.

Only Black Ball Point Pen allowed

According to the commission, candidates are required to fill the OMR answer sheets and the attendance list with a Black Ball Point pen only.

Smart/Digital watches are prohibited

Candidates are allowed to use normal/simple wrist watches inside the exam hall. Watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication devices or smart watches are strictly prohibited, mentioned the commission in a notice.

According to the commission, “ Every candidate appearing at the examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the CSE. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible”.

UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 will be an objective type examination which will be conducted in 2 sessions. Candidates who clear the preliminary examination will proceed further to the next round, that is the UPSC CSE Mains which has two parts – a written examination and an interview (personality test).

JKSSB Issues Admit Cards for Supervisor, Social Welfare Department Exam

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released an official notice regarding the issuance of admit cards for the written examination for the post of Supervisor in the Social Welfare Department. The examination is scheduled to take place on June 23, 2024. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the provisional merit list for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing/Paramedical/Technology Courses-2024. The list is for the candidates who appeared in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the J&K BOPEE on May 26, 2024, at Srinagar and Jammu.

The result has been prepared based on the answer key that was uploaded on the Board’s website on May 26, 2024, as no representations were received against it within the stipulated time.

Final Selection for Accounts Assistant
The JKSSB has announced the final selection for the post of Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department, under the Union Territory (UT) Cadre. This selection pertains to the advertisement notification No. 04 of 2020, dated December 16, 2020, under Item No. 106. Additionally, the board has released the withheld recommendations for these posts.

Supervisor OMR Based Examination

NEET-UG controversy: Amid demand for CBI probe, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan says no child’s career will be at jeopardy

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said that he wants to assure the NEET students that all their concerns will be addressed with fairness and equity.

Amid a demand for a CBI and Supreme Court monitored probe into the ongoing NEET-UG exam controversy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said that no child’s career will be at jeopardy.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday cancelled the grace marks given to 1,563 candidates amid allegations of irregularities and inflated marks and said that a retest will be conducted on June 23 for the students who received grace marks and results will be declared before June 30.

Meanwhile, Pradhan said that the central government is committed to protecting the interests of NEET examinees.

“I want to assure the students that all their concerns will be addressed with fairness and equity. No student will be at a disadvantage and no child’s career will be at jeopardy,” Pradhan said in a post on X

He further stated that facts related to the NEET examination are in cognisance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

“Central government will take all necessary actions for the well-being of students as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court,” Pradhan added.

The minister said that the counselling process of NEET will be underway soon, and it is of for the utmost importance to move ahead in this direction without any confusion.

Hearing a PIL filed by Hiten Singh Kashyap, the Supreme Court on Friday sought responses from the Centre and the NTA on a plea seeking a CBI probe into irregularities in the exam.

A vacation bench of justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta also sought responses from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Bihar government within two weeks.

Slamming the Central government, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the future of 24 lakh students appearing in the NEET examination is at stake due to the actions of the Modi government.

Earlier this week, Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole also demanded a probe by the central agency.
