The dismissed employees have been identified as Ghulam Hussain and Majid Iqbal Dar, both serving as teachers in the Education Department. The terminations were approved under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to dismiss employees without holding a departmental inquiry if such action is deemed necessary in the interest of the security of the state.
