The annual family income of applicants should be less than INR 8,00,000.

Children of employees of OMRON Healthcare India Private Limited and Buddy4Study are not eligible.

Note: Preference will be given to single-parent children, orphans, or PwD students.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification for affiliated government and private high and higher secondary schools in Jammu Division, including Leh. The notification is regarding applications to correct any errors in the registered particulars of class 9th students for the session 2023-25. These students will be appearing for the class 10th examination in the annual regular session 2025.

Key Points

  • Institutions can apply for corrections between May 9, 2024, and May 22, 2024, without any penalty.
  • After May 22, 2024, a correction fee of Rs. 200 per candidate will be charged up to June 11, 2024.
  • Correction applications along with relevant supporting documents (original class 8th marks card and a checklist mentioning RR Nos.) must be submitted to the Divisional office and the concerned Sub/Branch office in offline mode.
  • The Assistant Secretary/Incharge Officers of the Sub/Branch Office of JKBOSE will consolidate and verify the corrections as per the class 8th marks card and forward all eligible cases to the R.R Section, JD, in hard copy as well as soft copy (in Excel format only) to the email [email address removed].
  • The Head of the Institution must ensure they print a copy of the RR checklist for checking corrections for future reference.
  • In case the last date falls on a holiday, the next working day will be considered the last date.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended two officials over alleged malpractices in the Lamberi Range of Social Forestry Division, Rajouri.

The suspended officials are:

Mohammad Iqbal, Deputy Forester, the then I/C-Range Officer, Rajouri
Ramesh Kumar Zutshi, Field Supervisor
An inquiry has been ordered into the alleged malpractices. Mr. K Ramesh Kumar, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer. He has been directed to furnish his findings to the Administrative Department within a period of 15 days.

During the period of suspension, both the officials shall remain attached in the Administrative Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Modifies Result of Diploma in Elementary Education (DEED) Examination

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has modified the result of one candidate who took the Diploma in Elementary Education (DEED) Annual (Regular/Private) 2022 Examination.

The candidate, Fayaz Ahmad Tirmizi with roll number 5101407, has secured revised marks in Principles of Educational Psychology (Psy) and Teaching of Social Science (SS). Tirmizi has secured 28 marks in Principles of Educational Psychology (Psy), which was previously failing.

The result modification is in accordance with the approval by the authorities.
