Poonch/Rajouri, July 30 (JKNS): Authorities on Wednesday ordered the closure of all government and private schools in Poonch and Rajouri districts due to inclement weather conditions.

In Poonch, Chief Education Officer as per news agency JKNS said that all educational institutions, including government and private schools, will remain closed on July 30, 2025, as a precautionary measure in view of the prevailing weather situation.

In Rajouri, the closure was ordered following directions from the Deputy Commissioner, with the Chief Education Officer issuing a circular stating that all government and private schools across the district shall remain shut for the day. (JKNS)

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years
  • Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Technician Grade-I Signal: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication) OR B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation.
  • Technician Grade-III: 10th Pass with ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.

💸 Application Fee

  • General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after appearing in CBT)
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minorities/EBC: ₹250 (fully refundable after appearing in CBT)
  • Correction Fee: ₹250 per modification (non-refundable)

📝 Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  2. Document Verification
  3. Medical Examination

The CBT will have negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer.

    The weather will remain hot and humid across most parts of J&K, with the possibility of brief showers in a few areas.
  • 28th–30th July:
    Intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected, with intense showers and heavy rainfall likely at some places in the Jammu Division, mainly during late night and early morning hours.
  • 1st–3rd August:
    Conditions will generally remain hot and humid, with rain or thundershower activity at scattered to many places, again mostly during the night and early morning.

  • There is a possibility of intense showers, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall at isolated to scattered places across J&K during 28th–30th July.
  • People living in vulnerable areas are advised to stay alert as there is a risk of flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones.
