SJVN Limited, a Mini Ratna, Category-I and Schedule– ‘A’ CPSE under administrative control of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, was incorporated on May 24, 1988 as a joint venture of the Government of India (GOI) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GOHP). Beginning with a
single project and single State operation, the company has a total portfolio of approximately 55000MW and commissioned seven projects totalling 2091.5 MW of installed capacity which includes company’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS).

SJVN has laid Horizontal & Vertical Growth and Diversification plans and is developing itself into a fully diversified transnational power company in all types of conventional and non-conventional
forms of energy and in Power Transmission. SJVN has a Shared Vision of achieving 25000 MW by 2030 and 50000 MW by 2040.

The Hydro Projects of 5097 MW capacity have also been allotted by Arunachal Pradesh Government to SJVN.

Commensurate to its ambitious growth plans & swift growth trajectory, SJVN intends to engage manpower on Fixed Tenure basis in following disciplines for Projects in Arunachal Pradesh and invites applications from promising & committed individuals. The engagement shall be purely temporary & on contract basis for an initial period of 3 years. The contract period can further be extended on yearly basis for 2 more years depending upon the work requirement and performance of the individual. The engagement will not entitle him/her to claim for any regular employment in SJVN or any relaxation in case of any requirement for any post in SJVN, however, the selected candidates shall be considered for regularization in SJVN in line with SJVN’s policy for regularization of Fixed Tenure Appointees.

SJVN Limited has notified vacancies for 155 posts of Jr. Field Engineer and Jr. Field Officers. The application process will commence on September 18 and the deadline for the submission of the application form is October 9. SJVN Limited recruitment 2023 application fee: The application fee is ₹300 for General/EWS and OBC category candidates. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

SJVN Limited recruitment 2023 selection process: The Selection will be based on computer-based tests only. The provisionally shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates shall be able to obtain information about their application status & other related information through candidate login at the SJVN Online Application System and/or through registered email ID.

The CBT test will be in two parts, Part I will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions about the relevant discipline and Part II will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions on General Aptitude. Minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates & 50% for others.

4. Nodal College Jammu, Nodal College Srinagar shall refund fee after verifying the applicant’s form

Srinagar, Sep 16 (KNO): Kashmir’s all-weather train, known as Vistadome coach, is all set to chug this November, which would give a further boost to the tourism industry here, officials said.

An official from Northern Railways told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Ministry of Railways has greenlit the deployment of the Vistadome coach train on the Baramulla to Banihal railway track.

“The announcement follows a successful trial run of the Vistadome coach, which has solidified its readiness for service,” the official said.

He said the Vistadome coach (train) is expected to start operating in November of this year, and it is sure to be a popular choice for travellers, who want to experience the best of Kashmir scenery.

“The introduction of the Vistadome coach is poised to boost Kashmir’s tourism industry significantly, as visitors and locals alike will find themselves on a comfortable and enjoyable journey through the heart of this picturesque valley. This innovative coach boasts extra-large glass windows, offering passengers uninterrupted views of Kashmir’s breathtaking landscapes,” he said.

“The ambient LED lighting adapts to the changing scenery, creating an enchanting atmosphere on board. However, the most remarkable feature is the rotatable seats, allowing travelers to pivot and immerse themselves in the captivating vistas outside,” the official added.

Additionally, an onboard GPS-based information system will keep passengers informed about the areas they traverse.” the official added—(KNO)

Srinagar, Sep 16 (KNO): A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday arrested a traffic cop for taking bribe of Rs 9,000 in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that ACB team raided traffic official post in Sonamarg today morning and caught red-handed a cop while taking bribe of Rs 9,000

The cop has been identified as Muhammad Ayoub, working as Selection Grade Constable in Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police—(KNO)
