KU VC inspects PG entrance test centre, teaching departments

Srinagar, May 26: Vice-Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan inspected the examination centre of PG entrance test-2023 which started in the Varsity on Friday, even as she visited several teaching departments as part of her initiative to oversee conduct of classwork and various facilities available for the students at the main and satellite campuses.

Accompanied by Dean of Academic Affairs Prof F A Masoodi, the VC first visited the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES), where she listened to various concerns of the M.PEd students. She instructed immediate conduct of additional remedial classes for the students to make up for the academic time, alongside directing for making the DPES more vibrant with sports activities involving students from teaching departments from all campuses, as well as the affiliated colleges.

Thereafter, the VC visited the departments of Law, Islamic Studies, Psychology, Centre for Women’s Studies and Research, besides the Institute of Kashmir Studies (IKS). The VC interacted with faculty and students and reiterated directions for timely conduct of classes and examinations for timely award of degrees to the students and research scholars without fail.

The VC said that directions have time and again been passed for strict adherence to the already-notified academic calendar and any deviations in this endeavour will be viewed seriously.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor also inspected the examination centre for PG entrance at the Humanities Block and took stock of arrangements being made for the examinees.
Director Admissions Prof Farooq A Mir was also present on the occasion.

Saying that the University’s entrance examination is regarded as a benchmark of transparency, the VC said the University is ever-determined to continue with this legacy with more technological interventions in future. She also conveyed her best wishes to the examinees.

NEET 2023 Result: Tie Breaker Rule

A tie is defined as ‘when two or more candidates score the same marks in the NEET exam’. In such a case, the authorities apply the tie-breaking rules to allot the rank to each candidate.

Biology Marks: Candidates with higher marks in Biology will be preferred.

Chemistry Marks: If still tie remains then candidates with higher marks in chemistry will be preferred.

Less Incorrect Questions: If the above 2 tie-breaking methods are unable to break the tie then the fewer number of wrong answers will be taken into consideration.

Age Factor: If all three above method fails, then the candidates older in age will be preferred for merit ranking.

NEET Qualifying Percentile Score & Marks

Steps to Check NEET 2023 Result

The mode of releasing the NEET 2023 result is online. The candidates can refer to the following steps to check the NEET result.

  • Go to the official website, neet.nta.nic.in
  • On the home page, click on the NEET 2023 result link
  • Login using the login credentials, such as roll number, date of birth, and the security pin
  • Click on the submit button and the NEET rank card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download the NEET result by clicking on the “Print” tab and then save it.

NEET 2023 examination was conducted on 7 May from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Candidates who have appeared for the examination can visit the official website- neet.nta.nic.in and check the NEET 2023 official answer key and NEET UG 2023 result, once published.

NTA has not announced the release date of the answer key but it is expected to be out in the first week of June. NEET UG 2023 was held on 7 May from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. As many as 20.24 lakh candidates out of 20.87 lakh applicants have appeared for NEET 2023, which is the highest number in the past few years.

Srinagar, May 25(KNS): The authorities on Thursday said that the eagerly anticipated results of the 10th and 12th standard annual regular exams in the Kashmir division are nearing completion and are scheduled to be declared within the coming month.

A top official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), the results are currently being prepared and are in the final stages. However, it is important to note that this is a dynamic process, and we will continue to update and make necessary adjustments until the last moment.

The official also expressed confidence that the results will be announced within the upcoming month.(KNS).

Jammu & Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) will be releasing the JKBOSE result 2023 for Classes 10, 12 on its official website: jkbose.nic.in in june. However, it must further be noted that as of now no official date for JKBOSE 10th, 12th result 2023 declaration has been confirmed.

Applicants who appeared for the exams can check their JKBOSE 10th result 2023 and JKBOSE 12th result 2023 by entering their roll number and date of birth. The JK Board result 2023 for 10th, 12th will be issued together for soft and hard zone areas.

Passing Criteria of JKBOSE 10th Result 2023

Srinagar, May 25 (GNS): The government on Thursday ordered transfer of 32 police officers in the interest of administration with immediate effect.

According to a government order, a copy of which is with GNS, Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG Administration, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as DIG IR Jammu, against an available vacancy, relieving Nisha Nathyal, IPS of the additional charge of the post.
