Aadhar Card Verification: Now a little more hard work will have to be done in getting the Aadhar card made. UIDI has also issued new guidelines. According to this, adults above 18 years of age will have to go through a strict screening process. At present they are not getting slot for Aadhaar card.

If you have turned 18 and haven’t made Aadhaar yet, you will have to go through the same verification process as getting a passport. UIDAI has issued guidelines in this regard. Also wrote a letter to the state government asking it to appoint a nodal officer. Only this officer will get the name-address etc. of the adults checked for the new Aadhaar.

At present, the time slot for making Aadhaar for 18 plus people is not available on UIDAI’s site. The process of registration will be started again after the nodal officer is appointed by the state government. Aadhaar cards have been made for more than 16 crore people above 18 years of age in UP. Now the verification process for the remaining adults has been made stricter and the responsibility has been handed over to the state government. According to UIDAI officials, now Aadhaar will be made only at selected places. A state level portal is also being made for this.

Free Revision till June 15

Online updation in Aadhaar will be free from Wednesday till June 15. Earlier, 50 rupees had to be paid for this. However, fees will have to be paid for biometric updation and offline modification. Aadhaar can be updated by visiting myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in

After this you have to click on the option of ‘Link Aadhaar’.

After this an OTP will come to your mobile number through SMS.

CUET PG 2023 extended last date for submission of Application forms

Subject: Extending the Registration for online Application Form of the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (PG)] – 2023 Examination -reg.

The Registration for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (PG) – 2023] is live since 20 March 2023. Meanwhile, many new Universities / Institutions / Autonomous Colleges / Organizations have also joined CUET (PG)- 2023 which were notified through Public Notice dated 30 March 2023, 10 April 2023 and 15 April 2023 on https://cuet.nta.nic.in!.

The total number of participating Universities at present are 176.

In order to ensure that more options are available to the applicants for choosing courses/ programmes of various newly added Universities / Institution / Autonomous Colleges /Organizations from all over the Country, it has been decided to extend the online Application Form for the CUET (PG) – 2023. Details are given below:

J&K Reports 57 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, April 21 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir reported 57 fresh covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said that 33 cases were reported from Jammu division and 24 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 481264. Among the cases, 174780 are from Jammu division and 306484 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, Jammu reported 25, Udhampur 4, Rajouri 0, Doda 4, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0, Reasi 0, Srinagar 2, Baramulla 4, Budgam 3, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 11, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 0 and Shopian 0.

There was no death either from Jammu division or Kashmir Valley during the time. So far 4789 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2356 from Jammu division and 2433 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 77 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—9 from Jammu division and 68 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 554 active cases— 297 in Jammu and 257 in Kashmir. (GNS)

The Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology has sought suggestions from the people on this matter till May 5, 2023. At present, Aadhaar Authentication is used only by the Central and State Governments, but after the change of rules, private institutions will also be able to use Aadhaar for authentication.

What is the purpose of the government

The aim of the central government behind this decision is that with this the life of the people can be made easier and the services should be accessible to every person, due to which his life will be better. The central government has sent this draft to all non-governmental organizations that want to use Aadhaar authentication. Suggestions have been sought from them on this, which will again be sent to the Ministry of Information Technology.

Significantly, NGOs will send their advice to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Education Deptt seeks list of Govt schools falling above radius of seven KMs by foot

Srinagar, Apr 20 (KNO): School Education Department Thursday sought a list of government schools falling above a radius of seven kilometers or more on foot.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Personal Officer (PO) at Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) had issued a communique to all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the region.

“In this regard, you are asked to verify the distance of such schools and furnish the same to DSEJ,” it reads.

The PO said, “If any other schools in Jammu Division apart from the list issued by DSEJ where a distance of more than 7 km is required to be covered on foot and same may also be communicated to DSEJ itself through return mail.”

The officer has informed the CEOs to treat the matter as most urgent.

In the meantime, top officials at DSEK said that the move is aimed for internal purposes.

“As of now, we are consolidating the data for internal use and we will see what will be done to those schools after the transfer drive,” the official said—(KNO)

J&K Bank digital channels record over 9.5 lakh transactions worth Rs 572 crore today

Due to overload, mPAY service was slow during the day, but overall it worked well and customers were able to use online services.

Srinagar, April 20: Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr J&K Bank’s digital and alternate channels have recorded more than 9 lakh transactions amounting to whopping Rs 572 Crore till 7 pm on Thursday.

A senior bank official told (KNS) that they feel delighted in having successfully served lakhs of esteemed customers ahead of the Eid as the bank’s digital and alternate channels have successfully processed over 9.5 million transactions today till 7 pm.

 

He said bank’s mobile application mPAY processed over 3.5 lakh successful transactions today upto 7 pm, resulting in transfer of money amounting to Rs 104 crore.

 

“ATMs also witnessed huge customer footfall since morning, dispensing Rs 350 crore in over 3.5 lakh successful transactions. Under UPI services, payments amounting to Rs 5.72 crore were made in 9.5 lakh transactions, while an amount of Rs 12 crore has been transacted in purchases through PoS and e-Commerce channels of the Bank in over 1 lakh successful transactions”.

He further said that since they were not able to come up to the expectations of a section of valuable customers on Eid-ul-Fitr due to technical faults, but J&K Bank has successfully updated its system which resulted record number of transactions and withdrawals this Eid with some rare technical issues.

Due to overload, mPAY service was slow during the day, but overall it worked well and customers were able to use online services.

Meanwhile, customers also hailed the J&K Bank authorities for providing uninterrupted service to its customers on this festive occasion.

“Although I was very apprehensive because of last Eid experience, but to my surprise mPAY worked perfectly this time. J&K Bank has walked its talk this time,” said a customer.
