NSP Post Matric Scholarship 2024 Jammu Kashmir, Apply Link, Last Date, Eligibility
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India provides financial assistance to ST students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. The scholarship is available for studies in India only and provides for the following:
- Maintenance allowance
- Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
- Study tour charges
- Thesis typing/printing charges for research scholars
- Book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses
- Book bank facility for specified courses
- Additional allowances for students with disabilities
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Belong to ST community and be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir
- Have secured admission in a government/private higher secondary school/college/university or any other higher educational institution recognized by the Government/UGC/competent accreditation authority
- Have not received any other scholarship for the same stage of education
Scholarships are paid through DBT mode directly into the bank account of the student. 30% of the scholarship amount is earmarked for girl ST students. Scholarships can be renewed annually but only for the same stage of education.
The scheme aims to increase accessibility and affordability of higher education for ST students in Jammu and Kashmir and support them in completing their education.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should be a permanent resident of India.
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste community.
- The annual family income of candidates from the SC/ST community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- Students must enroll in class 9th or 10th standard.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship For Sc Students
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should be a permanent resident of India.
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste community.
- The annual family income of candidates from the SC/ST community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- Students must enroll in classes 11th, 12th, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, or Ph.D. level of courses under the recognized institute or university.
- Students who are in distance or online courses are also eligible for the scholarship.
- Candidates should not be involved in any other scholarship scheme for financial benefits.
Umbrella Scheme For Education of ST Students
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of India.
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe community.
- Students should enroll in class XI or X standard.
- The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2 lakh.
- The scholarship recipient under this program is not eligible to hold another scholarship or stipend.
- Students must enroll in pre-matric classes in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
- The scholarship will be given for only one year of school education.

- Applicants first need to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.
- The homepage will appear on your screen, here you have to click on the New Registration option.
- A new page will open on your screen, read all the instructions and click on the Continue button.
- Now the registration page will appear on your screen. If in all the necessary details such as:
- State
- Scholarship Category
- Name of the student
- Scheme type
- Gender
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Bank IFSC code
- Bank account number
- Identification details
- After filling all these steps click on the submit button. All the process of registration will be completed.
