RRC NR Recruitment 2024: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Northern Railway has published a notification for the recruitment to the post of Apprentice. Eligible and interested can apply from 16 August to 16 September 2024.

Online applications are invited from the engagement of 4096 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for imparting training at various Divisions/Units/Workshops over Northern Railway. The merit list will be released in November 2024

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially released the provisional merit list/result for the Common Entrance Test (CET) held on July 27, 2024. This test was conducted for admission to the 10th-based Paramedical Courses, specifically Female Multipurpose Health Worker (FMPHW) and Male Multipurpose Health Worker (MMPHW) programs.

One Dead, Another Injured in Cloudburst at Kulgam Village

Man dies, another injured as cloudburst hits Kulgam village

Kulgam, Aug 15 (KNO): A man died after a cloudburst hit Damhal Hanjipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, official sais.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cloudburst hit Banward area in DH Pora and soon after a rescue operation was launched.

“One person died in the incident, while another suffered injuries. Police and civil administration is on the spot,” he said.

The dead has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Chouhan son of Mohammad Hussain Chouhan of Bangward Bala. The injured person has been identified as Rafakat Ahmad Chouhan son of Mohammad Hussain Chouhan, also from Bangward Bala.

Tehsildar DH Pora, Zahid Ahmad, told KNO that a team has been rushed to the spot, and further details will be shared later—(KNO)

Cluster University Srinagar has announced the opening of fresh online applications for a few vacant seats in various Post-Graduate (PG) Programmes for the academic session 2024-25. These applications are specifically for candidates who have not appeared in CUET-PG. Important Guidelines:

3. Candidates applying for more than one programme must submit online preferences for selection. Preferences cannot be changed once submitted.

NEET UG 2024: Round 1 counselling registration starts today.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the Directorate General of Health Services, will commence registration for NEET UG 2024 counselling today. The registration period will remain open until August 20, 2024. This counselling process aims to fill 15 percent of the All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats. Only candidates who have qualified for the NEET exam are eligible to participate. Interested candidates should visit the official MCC website to complete their counselling registration forms.

STEPS TO REGISTER FOR NEET UG COUNSELLING 2024

  2. On the homepage, locate and click the registration link.
  3. Enter your credentials to log in and submit

The window for choice filling in the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling will be open from August 16 to August 20, 2024, closing at 11:55 pm on the final day. During this period, candidates will have the opportunity to select and prioritise their preferred colleges and courses. The option to lock in these preferences will become available starting at 4 pm on August 20. Following this, the processing of seat allotments for the first round will take place between August 21 and August 22, 2024.

The results of the seat allocation will be announced on August 23, 2024. Once the results are declared, candidates who have been allotted seats must report to their assigned colleges between August 24 and August 29, 2024, to complete their admission formalities.

The counselling process will be conducted for 1,09,145 MBBS seats and 27,868 BDS seats. Additionally, 1,000 BSc Nursing seats will also be allocated through this counselling process.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Directorate of Rural Sanitation J&K and Districts in formulating DPRs for Plastic Waste Management/SLWM/GWM and all related project formulation processes.
  • Coordinating between the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, RD & PR, with the Municipal Bodies in J&K, Urban Local Bodies Departments and other Government organizations for convergent planning of waste management, with special focus on peri-urban areas.
  • Evaluating the performance of assets created under SBM-G and developing a plan for their operationalization.
  • Formulating and coordinating with the District for the District Level Plans under SBM.
  • All other activities related to SBM-G implementation as assigned by the Directorate of Rural Sanitation/Administrative Department for SBM-G Implementation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the General Manager position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed recognized university/institute.
  • At least 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in leading at least 2 flagship schemes in consulting assignments.
  • Preferred experience in at least one project as Team Leader/Project Consultant/Head Manager in Swachh Bharat Mission.
  • Experience in overall project management for externally aided projects/Government of India funded flagship programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of SBM, its guidelines, action plans, FSM, Solid Waste, Liquid Waste, Plastic Waste Management, etc.
  • Domicile of UT J&K.
  • Maximum age of 55 years at the time of joining.
