SSC JHT Recruitment Notification 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the notification for the recruitment of Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Senior Translator on ssc.gov.in. The online application link is also activated on 02 August 2024. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their application on or before 25 August 2024. The candidates can edit their applications on 04 and 05 September.

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2024

The exam will have two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates can check the details of both papers below:

  • Paper 1 will have questions on General Hindi and General English. This paper tests the candidate’s language skills and includes topics like grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, etc. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I
  • Paper 2 is a subjective paper that tests translation skills of 200 marks. Candidates are required to translate passages from Hindi to English and vice versa. This paper evaluates the candidate’s ability to translate accurately and effectively.
  • The duration of both the papers will be 2 hours

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, through its Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), has announced scholarships for the academic year 2024-25. The scholarships are aimed at supporting the education of students with disabilities (Divyangjan) and include Pre-matric, Post-matric, and Top Class Education Scholarship Schemes.

UGC NET 2024 Admit Card to be Released Soon: Details Here

The National Testing Agency will release the admit card for UGC NET 2024 soon. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website.

The National Testing Agency is expected to release the admit cards for the UGC NET re-exam soon. Candidates who have applied can download their admit cards from the official website, i.e., ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The exam is likely to be conducted between August 21 and September 4. Before issuing the admit cards, the agency will release exam city slips for the UGC NET August exam.

The exam city slip will indicate the location of the candidates’ exam centres. Details such as the exam centre name, date, time, and other specifics will be provided on the admit cards.

On June 18, the UGC NET exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode but was later cancelled by the Education Ministry due to allegations of malpractice in the exam.

The UGC NET 2024 re-exam will be held from August 21 to September 4.

Srinagar/Jammu Aug 02 (KB): As a recent directive, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has mandated the attendance of all government employees stationed in Srinagar and Jammu at the main Independence Day celebrations on August 15, 2024.

According to an order, a copy of which has been reviewed by Kashmir Bulletin (KB), Independence Day is an important national event celebrated on 15th August every year. All government employees are duty-bound to participate in commemorating such a significant turning point in the history of our nation.

It further reads that as per the directive, all officers and officials in the Union Territory are required to attend the main function at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar or Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu. Attendance is deemed a part of their official duties, and any absence will only be permitted with prior permission from their immediate superior.

The order also emphasizes that all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Managing Directors/Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings must ensure the attendance of all officers and officials under their administrative control who are stationed in Srinagar and Jammu.—(KB)
