JKBOPEE Releases Answer Keys for CET 2024 Paramedical Diploma Courses

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the answer keys for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024. These exams are conducted for various paramedical diploma courses.

12th Based Paramedical Diploma & Other Courses CET 2024

The CET for the 12th based paramedical diploma and other courses was held on July 28, 2024. The answer key is now available on the official JKBOPEE website. Candidates who appeared for this examination can download the answer key to verify their responses and estimate their scores.

10th Based Paramedical Diploma Courses CET 2024

For candidates who appeared for the CET on July 27, 2024, targeting the 10th based paramedical diploma courses such as Female Multipurpose Health Worker (FMPHW) and Male Multipurpose Health Worker (MMPHW), the answer key has also been published.

Srinagar sizzles, records 36.2°C, third-highest in July history

Qazigund, Kokernag surpass previous temp records

Srinagar, Jul 28: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has recorded its third-highest temperature for the month of July, reaching 36.2 degrees Celsius amidst a persistent heat wave.

The Meteorological Department (MeT) said this temperature marks the hottest day of the season so far in Srinagar.

Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Director MeT Kashmir, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said, “The all-time highest maximum temperature in Srinagar for July is 38.3 degrees Celsius, recorded on July 10, 1946, followed by 37 degrees Celsius on July 9, 1999. Today, Srinagar recorded the third-highest day temperature at 36.2 degrees Celsius.”

Meanwhile, Qazigund and Kokernag set new records for the highest temperatures ever recorded in these areas. Qazigund, often referred to as the gateway to Kashmir, experienced a temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous record of 34.5 degrees Celsius set on July 11, 1988.

Kokernag also recorded its highest-ever temperature at 34.1 degrees Celsius, with the previous records being 33.3 degrees Celsius on July 3, 2024, and 33 degrees Celsius on July 8, 1993—(KNO)

Heatwave: Division admin orders suspension of class work upto primary level in Kashmir schools on July-29, 30

Srinagar, Jul 28 (KNO): Amid persistent heatwave, the division administration of Kashmir Sunday ordered suspension of class work for students upto primary level in both government and private schools on July-29 and 30.

In an official order issued by the divisional commissioner Kashmir, V K Bidhuri however said that the teaching staff in those schools shall continue to attend their duties.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Bidhuri in an order said, “In view of the persistent heat wave prevailing in the valey, classwork for students up to the primary level in both government and recognized private schools
shal remain suspended on 29th and 30th July 2024.”

“However, all teaching and non- teaching staff shall continue to attend their duties as usual,” it reads.—(KNO)

v. those who have marked any of the correct options.

vi. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

vii. If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

Extending vacation due to heat not possible: Kumar

SRINAGAR, July 27: Principal Secretary of the School Education Department (SED), Alok Kumar, stated today that extending holidays is not a viable solution to address heat-related issues.

Speaking to media persons, Kumar acknowledged the challenges posed by high temperatures but emphasized the importance of maintaining the school system.

“We are all enduring the heat, but there is a system in place, and we have extended the holidays within reason,” he said, noting the impracticality of keeping schools closed until the temperatures drop completely.

Kumar pointed out that similar measures are not taken during colder months, suggesting a need for consistency in the operation of educational institutions. “How many days can we keep schools closed?” he questioned, stressing the necessity for schools to function without interruption.

While Kumar recognized the demands to close schools due to heat, he emphasized that such requests cannot always be accommodated.

However, he acknowledged the need for flexibility for students with health issues aggravated by extreme weather.

Kumar highlighted that school facilities include drinking water and shaded areas. Although he admitted that air conditioning is currently unavailable, he indicated that there are plans to install such amenities as resources become available.

He stated that the department is committed to gradually improving infrastructure to address heat-related challenges.

Recruitment Notice for Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas) in J&K: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Office of the Child Development Project Officer POSHAN Project Breng, has re-advertised for the recruitment of Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in Anganwadi Centres of the POSHAN Project Breng. This recruitment falls under Phase 2 and aims to fill 09 positions.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Age Limit: Women candidates aged between 18-37 years.
