CUK to resume offline classes from Feb 19 in view of weather forecast

Srinagar, Jan 24 (KNO): The Central University of Kashmir on Wednesday said it will resume offline classes from February 19, however, online classes will resume from February 05 in view of the weather forecast.

According to a communique, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) in view of the forecast for bad weather and pursuant to the approval of the Competent Authority, the University shall open from February 05 in online mode only and the teachers can take classes from their respective residences.

It reads that the physical mode of classes shall start from February 19 and the examinations shall start as per schedule from February 26.

Earlier, the University had allowed departments to complete the syllabus through online classes till December 31, 2023 or till the completion of the syllabus and was scheduled to reopen from February 05—(KNO)

JKSSB Released Final Selection List for the post of Chemist

Jammu, 24th January 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the final selection list for the post of Chemist in the Finance Department of the Jammu and Kashmir government.

The selection has been made against one post of Chemist, Level-6E (35600-112800), under Open Merit, as per the indent received from the Finance Department vide No. FD/Coord/08/2020 dated 20.11.2020.

The required qualification for the post is Graduation & Diploma in Industrial Fermentation & Alcohol Technology from a recognized Institute, as specified in the indent.

JKSSB had advertised the post vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020 under Item No. 125. The written exam was conducted on 24.12.2023 followed by document verification of shortlisted candidates.

The selection committee constituted by JKSSB vide Order No. 03-SSB of 2024 prepared the provisional selection list based on the merit and eligibility of candidates. This was approved by JKSSB in its 253rd meeting on 05.01.2024.

After considering objections received, if any, the Board approved the final selection list in its 256th meeting held on 23.01.2024.

As per the notification issued by JKSSB, the selection list is subject to the outcome of any court cases pending regarding the selection process. An enquiry into any candidate may also affect their selection.

The selection has been made based on the self-declaration and documents submitted by candidates. If any information is found false later, the selection would stand cancelled, as per the notification.

The final selection list has been notified vide No. JKSSB-SDOSECY(JMU)/5/2024-03(E-7381493) dated 24.01.2024. With this, the selection process for the advertised post of Chemist in Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has been completed.

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board Releases Final Selection List for Junior Environmental Engineer Posts

Jammu, 24th January 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the final selection list for the post of Junior Environmental Engineer under the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment. A total of 5 vacancies were advertised by JKSSB vide Notification No. 03 of 2021 dated 04.06.2021 under Item No. 557.

The selection list has been prepared based on the merit and eligibility of candidates who appeared for the OMR based written examination held on 05.11.2023. The final selection list was approved by JKSSB in its 256th Meeting held on 23rd January 2024.

As per the selection list, 01 candidate has been selected against the 03 vacancies for ST category. No candidates have been selected against the vacancies for OSC, ALC, RBA, PSP, EWS, OM and SC categories.

The qualification required for selection to these posts is a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or AMIE Section (A&B) India or 3 Years diploma from Indian University/Institute in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical and Environmental Engineering discipline with at least 60% marks.

The final selection list has been released after considering all relevant factors and taking into account the recommendations of the Selection Committee constituted vide Office Order No. 03-558 of 2024 dated 03.01.2024.
