Recruitment Notice: Engagement of Krishi Udyamis (Agricultural Entrepreneurs) in Kulgam District

The Agriculture Production and Farmer’s Welfare Department, Jammu & Kashmir, invites applications for the engagement of Krishi Udyamis (KUs) under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme. This initiative aims to promote local entrepreneurship and improve agricultural services.

Key Details:

  1. Position: Krishi Udyami (Agricultural Entrepreneur)
  2. Number of Positions: 2 (across pre-identified panchayat-level Kisan Khidmat Ghars in District Kulgam)
  3. Engagement Period: Two years (extendable based on performance)
  4. Qualifications: Diploma in Agriculture/Allied Fields or Graduation in Agriculture/Allied Sciences (BSc/BVSc). Additional preference for candidates with post-graduate degrees or computer-related certifications. Relevant fields include Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Forestry, etc.
  5. Job Profile: Manage and operate Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) as specified
  6. Remuneration: Self-earning/entrepreneurial model
  7. Last Date to Apply: 13th January 2025

General Terms and Conditions:
Age: 21–45 years as of the application deadline. Applicants must submit a completed form along with self-attested copies of the following: Date of Birth Certificate, Qualification Certificates, Domicile Certificate, and Character Certificate. Submission of applications to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam.

Key Responsibilities and Conditions for Krishi Udyamis:

  1. Selected candidates must enter into an agreement and deposit a refundable security of ₹10,000
  2. Provide two rooms (750-800 sq. ft.) for KKG operations. Locations should be easily accessible to the farming community. No financial assistance will be provided for these facilities
  3. Operate under a franchise-like model to foster local empowerment and agricultural development
  4. Supervised by designated officers to ensure alignment with departmental goals
