Rain, Gusty Winds Likely in J&K; MeT Issues Advisory for May 30-31

Srinagar, May 30 (JKNS): Meteorological Department Srinagar on Friday said that weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain generally cloudy till the end of May, with spells of rain and gusty winds likely at many places.

Director Meteorological department, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad as per news agency JKNS said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at most locations on May 30 and 31.

However, few areas may witness heavy rain accompanied by intense showers and gusty winds during this period, he said.

From June 1 to 2, the weather is likely to witness brief spells of light rainfall at isolated places. Between June 4 and 6, conditions are expected to remain mostly dry, though a few areas may experience evening showers, Dr Mukhtar said.

The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay alert as moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms may occur at scattered locations on May 30 and 31. There are also chances of landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas, along with the risk of flash floods due to intense showers in isolated regions.

People have been cautioned to stay away from loose structures, old trees, electric poles and hanging cables during this period. (JKNS)

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released Phase-VI Notification regarding the distribution of Xerox copies of answer scripts for Class 10th (Secondary School Examination) Annual Regular 2025 candidates.

  • Venue: Office of the Assistant Secretary, Secrecy Unit-I, KD Block No. 3, New Campus, Bemina, Srinagar
  • Purpose: Collection of Xerox copies of answer scripts

NEET 2025 Answer Key: Check OMR Sheet, Marking Scheme & Result Date

NTA NEET UG 2025 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the candidate’s response sheet and answer key of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) soon. NEET UG 2025 was held across the country on Sunday, May 4. The NTA NEET official website – neet.nta.nic.in will host the NEET UG answer key for all the question paper codes.

In addition to the NEET answer key 2025, NTA will also be releasing the candidates’ NEET OMR response sheets. NTA is yet to announce any date for the release of the answer key. NEET UG result 2025 date is June 14.

Last year, NEET was held on May 5, the provisional key was released on May 29 after a 24-day gap. In 2023, NEET UG was conducted on May 7 and the provisional answer key was released on June 4 after a 28-day gap. NEET UG 2022 was was held on July 17 and after 45 days, on August 31, the provisional answer keys were.

The NTA conducted NEET UG 2025 in multiple exam centres across 5,453 centres in around 500 cities. Over 22.7 lakh candidates had registered for the NEET UG exams this year.

The NEET UG question paper comprised 180 compulsory questions in physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology).

NEET UG 2025: What is the marking scheme

– Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
– Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1)
– Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0)

If more than one option is found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. However, if all options are found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

NEET UG 2025: How was exam this year?

According to students who took the test on May 4 and experts in the field, the questions in the NEET UG 2025 exam were more difficult compared to previous years. Many candidates found the overall paper more time-consuming and conceptually demanding. The questions followed the pre-Covid pattern, and the increased complexity, especially in physics and chemistry, made scoring high marks difficult.

NEET UG 2025: Category-wise expected cut-off

Candidates can download the Annexure-A (Provisional Merit List) and Annexure-B (Revised Answer Key) from the official JKBOPEE website: www.jkbopee.gov.in

Key Highlights:

  • Candidates whose marks were awaited or whose reserved/domicile certificates were invalid or expired were provisionally allowed to appear in the entrance test. They must submit valid documents at the time of admission.
  • Objections to the result must be submitted with a payment receipt of ₹1000 within three days from the date of publication of the notification.
  • Candidates needing corrections in name, parentage, D.O.B, category, or gender must visit BOPEE physically within five days.

Important Note:

JEE Main, Advanced 2025 Counselling Process Begins On June 3, Check Details

JoSAA Counselling 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the counselling schedule for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government-funded technical institutions for the academic year 2025-26. The counselling process will begin on June 3 and will be held in five rounds. Those who have qualified JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025, or are expected to qualify, will be eligible to participate.

The final round of counselling will be conducted specifically for IITs and NIT+ institutions. Students interested in architecture courses and who have cleared the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be able to access architecture-specific options after the AAT result is declared on June 8.
