Major Changes Announced for NEET 2025 by Medical Body – Here’s What’s New

0
Medical body introduces major changes in NEET 2025 exam. Details here
NEET-MDS 2025 will follow a stricter time-bound format to boost exam security and fairness. With growing concerns over exam integrity, the NBEMS has introduced this change to ensure transparency and prevent any misuse during the test.
NBEMS also added that this update is in response to growing concern over security threats while taking admission tests.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has made a significant change in the NEET-MDS 2025 exam pattern. According to the new notice, the question paper will be divided into two timed parts — Part A and Part B.

Part A will consist of 100 questions and 75 minutes of time. Part B will consist of 140 questions and 105 minutes of time. Above all, the candidates won’t be able to proceed to the next part until the time for the previous part is expired. After a section is done, they will not be permitted to go back to it and make any kind of changes. The next section will automatically get open after the time expires.

This is part of a sequence of actions being taken by NBEMS to increase exam security and maintain fairness. The limited-duration pattern will now be implemented in all NBEMS computer-based exams, including NEET-PG, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB-PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, and FET.

NBEMS also added that this update is in response to growing concern over security threats while taking admission tests.

NEET MDS 2025: EXAM DETAILS

Aspiring postgraduate dental students will be interested in taking the NEET-MDS 2025 demo test, which will be made available from April 9. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will hold the demo test on its official website, under the NEET-MDS 2025 application portal.

The NEET-MDS 2025 examination itself will be held on April 19, and will be held at different centres in India.

Since it is the only entrance examination to take admission in Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses, NEET-MDS has a decisive say in the dental graduates’ future in India.

Potential candidates are asked to keep visiting the official NBEMS website regularly for updates, step-by-step guide, and other relevant information about NEET-MDS 2025.

Demands Grow for Action Against Fraud Agents as Sopore Youth Trapped Abroad, Passport Defaced

Advisor to CM, MLA Sopore, JKSA Assured Safer Return of Youth; Family Urges J&K CM, IGP Kashmir for Action Against Fraud Agents

Sopore, Apr 8 (JKNS): A disturbing case of passport misuse and exploitation has emerged from Wagub Sopore, where 21-year-old Momin Majeed Shah, became a victim of a fraudulent job consultancy racket and is now facing serious consequences in China.

Meanwhile, Advisor to Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Sopore Irfan Hafeez Lone and Jammu and Kashmir Students association National convennor Nasir Khumani assured news agency JKNS about safer return of Momin and his colleague from abroad.

Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam told news agency JKNS that “I Will take up the matter, will ensure a safer return of Momin.”

Nasir Khumani national convennor students association J&K told JKNS that, JKSA has written letter to MEA and they have wrote to Indian embassy in Lao adding we will ensure safer return of Momin, he said.

As learnt by JKNS, Momin, son of Abdul Majeed Shah, had travelled to China through agents who promised him a legal job in the crypto sector. However, he ended up in Laos, where his salary was withheld, his passport and phone were seized, and a ransom of Rs 60,000 was demanded for his release.

Although Momin and a colleague have now managed to reach the Indian Embassy in Vientiane, Laos, the situation remains grim. Their passports have been defaced by the employer with false accusations such as “stealing company resources” and “blacklisted,” potentially affecting their legal status, safety, and future travel.

The case has sparked fresh outrage in Sopore and other parts of north Kashmir, with families and citizens demanding a crackdown on fraudulent agents who lure youth abroad with fake job offers. The victim’s family has appealed to the CM of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah, Inspector General of Police, SSP Baramulla, MLA Sopore and other authorities to take up the matter and ensure action against those responsible.

“We request verification and clearance of Momin’s record by CID upon his return. These false blacklists can ruin lives,” said a relative of Momin.

The Indian Embassy in Laos has assured support to Momin and is in touch with his family. However, pressure is mounting on the government to launch a wider investigation into travel agents operating across the Valley, especially in light of similar recent scams reported from Gulf countries.

The case of Momin is now being seen as a wake-up call for both families and authorities. Locals demand that the government take strict measures to regulate consultancy agents and prevent further exploitation of Kashmiri youth abroad. (JKNS)
