Overview of JKBOSE Computer-Based Type Test 2026

The JKBOSE Computer-Based Type Test was conducted following official notices issued earlier by the Administration Central wing of the Board. According to the notification, the test was organized on April 29, 2026, at Srinagar and Jammu centers.

The objective of the examination was to assess the computer handling and typing skills of in-service Class-IV employees. These employees included Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Chowkidars, Gardeners, and other support staff serving in different offices of the Board.

The test was supervised by monitoring committees constituted under official orders of JKBOSE. The Board emphasized transparency and fairness during the examination process. The result declaration now marks the completion of the evaluation stage.

Importance of the Type Test for JKBOSE Employees

The Computer-Based Type Test holds significant importance for Class-IV employees because digital proficiency has become essential in modern office administration. Government and semi-government departments across Jammu and Kashmir are increasingly adopting e-office systems, online file management, and digital communication platforms.

The examination helps determine whether employees possess the required typing and computer operation skills needed for efficient administrative functioning. Employees who qualify may become eligible for additional responsibilities, promotions, or future departmental opportunities where computer literacy is mandatory.

For many employees, qualifying such examinations also serves as a motivational achievement and boosts their confidence in adapting to technological advancements.

Conducting Authority and Examination Process

The test was conducted by NIELIT, a recognized institution known for conducting computer proficiency and digital literacy examinations. JKBOSE collaborated with the institute to ensure the credibility and technical quality of the examination.

The examination centers were established in Srinagar and Jammu. Candidates were allotted venues according to their administrative jurisdiction and convenience.

The Board maintained strict monitoring throughout the examination. Committees constituted by JKBOSE supervised the conduct of the test and ensured that proper guidelines were followed.

The examination process included:

  • Computer typing assessment
  • Basic computer operation tasks
  • Evaluation of typing speed and accuracy
  • Verification of employee credentials
  • Transparent monitoring mechanisms

Categories of Results Declared

The result notification categorized candidates into three major groups:

1. Qualified Candidates

These employees successfully met the required criteria and passed the computer-based type test.

2. Not Qualified Candidates

Employees who appeared in the examination but could not meet the prescribed qualifying standards were listed as “Not Qualified.”

3. Absent Candidates

Some candidates were marked absent as they did not appear in the examination despite being eligible.

District-Wise and Venue-Wise Participation

The examination saw participation from employees posted in different offices of JKBOSE across Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar Centre

A large number of employees appeared at the Srinagar venue. Many employees from Kashmir division offices participated in the examination.

Jammu Centre

Employees posted in Jammu division offices appeared at the Jammu venue. The Jammu center also witnessed substantial participation.

The result notification reflects representation from both divisions, ensuring equal opportunity for employees across regions.

Names of Qualified Employees

Several employees successfully qualified the examination. According to the official notification, some of the qualified candidates include:

  • Mr. Mulkh Raj
  • Mr. Tanveer Ahmad
  • Ms. Qoynser Rashid
  • Ms. Dimple Devi
  • Mr. Haris Manzoor
  • Mr. Belgh Aquib Abdullah
  • Mr. Rohit Kumar
  • Mr. Nitish Sharma

These candidates fulfilled the required typing and computer proficiency standards prescribed by the Board.

Employees Marked Absent

The result notification also recorded several candidates as absent. This indicates that they failed to appear in the examination despite being listed as eligible candidates.

Absence in such departmental examinations can impact future eligibility and administrative opportunities. Employees who missed the test may have to wait for future notifications if another examination is conducted.

Administrative Significance of the Result

The declaration of the result is not merely procedural but also administratively significant. Government departments are moving rapidly toward digitization, and employees are expected to possess minimum computer literacy standards.

  • Digital record maintenance

  • File processing
  • E-office management
  • Official correspondence

Role of Digital Literacy in Government Offices

Digital transformation has changed the functioning of government offices throughout India, including Jammu and Kashmir. Manual paperwork is gradually being replaced by electronic systems.

Benefits of Digital Literacy Include:

  • Faster office work

Common challenges may include:

  • Limited typing practice
  • Lack of computer training
  • Anxiety during digital exams
  • Difficulty in time management
  • Technical unfamiliarity

Despite these challenges, many employees successfully qualified, reflecting their determination and willingness to adapt to changing administrative requirements.

The computer-based type test aligns with the Board’s modernization initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Areas Where JKBOSE Has Expanded Digitization:

  • Online result publication
  • Digital student records
  • Online registrations
  • Computerized examination management
  • E-governance systems
  • Digital administrative communication

The latest type test is another step toward strengthening institutional digital infrastructure.

Transparency in Result Declaration

Transparency remains an important aspect of departmental examinations. JKBOSE ensured that the result notification clearly categorized candidates according to their performance status.

The result includes:

  • Employee code
  • Employee name
  • Designation
  • Examination venue
  • Qualification status

This structured presentation enhances clarity and minimizes confusion among employees.

Official Notification Details

The notification was issued under the Administration Central wing of JKBOSE and carries official references related to the examination notices and monitoring committee orders.

According to the official document, the result pertains to the Computer-Based Type Test conducted for eligible in-service Class-IV employees.

The computer-based type test also serves as a benchmark for evaluating employee competency in essential administrative skills.

The examination ensures that employees handling office-related responsibilities possess minimum digital proficiency standards necessary for modern governance.

Future Expectations from JKBOSE

Following the successful conduct of the examination, employees may expect JKBOSE to continue focusing on:

  • Skill enhancement programs
  • Digital transformation initiatives
  • Transparent examination processes
  • Employee capacity building
  • Technology-based administrative reforms

The Board’s continued modernization efforts may further strengthen institutional efficiency.

The declaration of the JKBOSE Computer-Based Type Test result for in-service Class-IV employees marks an important administrative milestone. The examination not only assessed typing and computer skills but also highlighted the growing importance of digital literacy within government institutions.

Qualified employees have demonstrated their readiness to adapt to modern administrative systems, while others may use this experience to improve their skills for future opportunities.

As governance and office functioning continue shifting toward digital platforms, examinations like these play a crucial role in preparing employees for evolving workplace demands. JKBOSE’s initiative reflects a broader commitment toward transparency, modernization, and administrative efficiency in Jammu and Kashmir.
