CUET UG 2025 application deadline extended till March 24

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the CUET UG 2025 application deadline to March 24, 2025. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode, with revised subjects and new patterns.

The National Testing Agency has extended the online application deadline for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Undergraduate courses till March 24, 2025. Earlier the last date to register for CUET UG 2025 was till 11 pm tonight.

In an official notice, the NTA announced, “The deadline for online submission of the application form for the CUET-UG 2025 has been extended up to 11:50 pm on March 24, 2025 based on the request received from candidates and stakeholders.”

How to apply for CUET UG 2025?

Step 1: Go to the official website of NTA CUET UG at cuet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘new candidate registration’ and create your login credentials and log into the CUET 2025 portal.
Step 3: Fill the application form entering the correct personal information, academic records and upload required documents.
Step 4: Choose your desired subjects for the entrance test, and pay the required application fee.
Step 5: After a final round of checks click on submit. Keep a copy of the submitted registration form.

CUET UG 2025 revised exam pattern

This year, CUET UG 2025, the exam will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. A key change this year is that students are no longer restricted to choosing subjects based on their Class 12 curriculum—they can opt for any subject, regardless of their previous studies.

Additionally, the total number of subjects available for selection has been reduced from 63 to 37. This includes 13 languages and 23 domain-specific subjects. For courses that previously mapped to removed subjects, admissions will now be based on scores from the General Aptitude Test instead.

Among the subjects removed from CUET UG are Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Legal Studies, Fashion Studies, Tourism, and Engineering Graphics.

The CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, where students will answer multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on a computer screen.

The exam is divided into three sections. Section 1 focuses on language proficiency, allowing candidates to choose from 13 languages. It assesses reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills. Section 2 covers domain-specific subjects, where students can select from 23 subjects based on their academic interests. The questions are designed according to the Class 12 syllabus, ensuring relevance to students’ prior studies. Section 3 is the General Test, which evaluates general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude. This section is particularly important for courses that do not require subject-specific assessments.

All questions in the CUET UG 2025 exam will be objective-type, multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates must select the correct option from the given choices, ensuring a straightforward answering process.

The marking scheme follows a structured pattern. Each correct answer is awarded 5 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response due to negative marking. NEW DELHI, Mar 22 : Recruitment exam for a government job is now being held with the option of 13 Indian languages instead of just Hindi and English as was the case during the UPA Govt till 2014 and the average timeline for completing the process of recruitment has been reduced from the earlier 15 months to 8 months with prospects of further reduction. The other languages in the 8th schedule of the constitution will also be included in the course of time, he added.

This was announced here today by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh , who is also Incharge Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), while chairing a high-level holistic meeting at North Block. He emphasized the government’s commitment to streamlining the recruitment process and enhancing governance through technology-driven reforms.

During the review, Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that the average recruitment cycle time has been reduced from 15 months to 8 months, with further reductions planned in the coming days. He also recalled the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which was propelled by his efforts, and confirmed that its rules and details have been notified.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Earth Sciences, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, and Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh directed officials to establish standards and guidelines for conducting computer-based tests, ensuring a level playing field for all candidates. He also instructed the creation of a ‘Single Job Application Portal’ to ease the burden on job seekers and save their time and energy from applying across multiple platforms.

Dr. Jitendra Singh took stock of Mission Karmayogi, noting that as of date, nearly 89 lakh Karmayogis have been onboarded. He emphasized the importance of capacity building for government employees, focusing on their overall development and increased workplace efficiency.

The DoPT Minister instructed officials to create a repository of Good Governance practices and amplify them through outreach for other departments to follow. Stressing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in governance, he cited its success in CPGRAMS 2.0, an AI-enabled grievance redressal system.

Dr. Jitendra Singh also stressed continuous digitalization, recalling how during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, 70-80% of government work was carried out online, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India Mission, envisioned in 2015. He emphasized the need for process re-engineering to revise guidelines for framing and amending recruitment rules.

On personnel policies and rules, Dr. Singh directed officials to ensure inclusive and equitable policies while leveraging technology to foster transparency and accountability.

During the review, Dr. Jitendra Singh also addressed the questions raised by officials and guided them on the way forward. Smt. Rachna Shah, Secretary, DoPT, along with senior officials of the ministry, attended the high-level meeting.

The National Testing Agency, NTA has released CUET PG Admit Card 2025 for March 26 to April 1, 2025. The admit card for Common University Entrance Test, CUET PG has been released and can be downloaded through the official website of NTA CUET PG at exams.ntaonline.in/CUET-PG/

The admit card of candidates appearing for the examination scheduled to be held between March 26 to 30, 2025 and April 1, 2025 are available on website. Candidates can download their Admit Card from the said website using their Application Form Number and Date of Birth.

Please check the reporting time at the centre, gate closing time of the centre, date of examination, shift and timings of test, and venue of test as indicated on the Admit Card.

CUET PG Admit Card 2025: How to download

To download the admit card can follow the steps given below.

1. Visit the official website of NTA CUET PG at exams.ntaonline.in/CUET-PG/.

2. Click on CUET PG Admit Card 2025 for March 26 to April 1 link available on the home page.

3. A new page will open where candidates can fill the registration details.

4. Click on submit and your admit card will be displayed.

5. Check the admit card and download the page.

6. Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions. Candidate should not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein.

On the day of the Examination, please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of the Centre, you will not be allowed to enter the Test venue. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.
