Srinagar, Apr 4 (JKNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Waheed Parra has criticized the ruling alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, questioning its stance on key political issues

In a post on X, PDP MLA Waheed Parra as per news agency JKNS wrote, that a party that once appointed its own Sadr-e-Riyasat and Prime Minister is now focused on Tehsildar appointments instead of fundamental rights. He remarked that political priorities have shifted drastically, reducing discussions to bureaucratic matters rather than addressing the implications of August 5, 2019.

He further pointed out that while 50 MLAs have united over KAS transfers, they failed to resist the abrogation of Article 370. He criticized the approach of surrendering political ground and expecting reciprocal facilitation, arguing that stronger political decisions—such as appointing an independent Advocate General, nominating MLAs, and upholding the 370 resolution—could have ensured better control over governance.

Parra also questioned the alliance’s stance on historical and legislative issues, stating that failure to uphold the legacy of July 13 and making the Waqf Bill a rhetorical issue weakened their political bargaining. He highlighted the contradiction of the same cabinet now complaining about bureaucrats it had justified during a month-long assembly session.

His remarks come at a time of heightened political activity, with the CM-led alliance meeting underway to discuss governance and electoral strategies in the region. (JKNS)

UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card 2025 has been released. The direct link to download hall tickets is given below.

Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, has released the admit cards for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 1 examination 2025 on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Candidates who are appearing for the exam can download their hall tickets from the official website at upsc.gov.in. They can also head to upsconline.gov.in to download their hall tickets.

The commission will be holding CDS 1 exams 2025 on April 13. The exam will be held in three shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 11 am during which candidates will appear for the English paper. The second shift will be conducted from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, wherein candidates will attempt the General Knowledge paper, and the third shift will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm where candidates will take the Elementary Mathematics paper.

Notably, the UPSC CDS is held for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and the Officers’ Training Academy. The exam is being held for 457 vacancies.

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download the CDS 1 admit card:

  1. Visit the official website at upsconline.gov.in
  2. On the home page, click on the link to download e-admit card for recruitment exams.
  3. Click on the link to download the CDS 1 Admit Card 2025.
  4. Enter your credentials to login and submit.
  5. Check your admit card displayed on the screen.
  6. Download and keep a printout of the same for further use.
