The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced registration for the stray round of NEET PG 2024 counselling. Eligible candidates can apply through the official websitemcc.nic.inuntil March 8. A total of 733 seats are available in this round, with the choice-filling and locking window opening on March 10.

The seat allotment process will take place between March 10 and 11, and the final results will be announced on March 12. The allocation will be based on seat availability, previous cut-off trends, and other determining factors. Shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted institutes by March 20 for document verification.

To ensure maximum seat utilisation, MCC has lowered the NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile to the 5th percentile, preventing vacancies due to non-reporting or non-joining. As per an official statement, this decision follows directives from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Earlier this year, the cut-off for NEET PG counselling was revised, making general and EWS category candidates scoring 15 percentile and above eligible for counselling. For SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates, the eligibility threshold was reduced to 10 percentile. Previously, the qualifying percentile was set at 50th for unreserved categories, 45th for PwD candidates, and 40th for reserved categories.

In 2023, the NEET PG cut-off was brought down to zero across all categories. Similarly, in 2022, the general category cut-off dropped from the 50th percentile to 35th. PwD category candidates saw a reduction from the 45th to the 20th percentile, while SC, ST, and OBC candidates, including PwD candidates in these categories, had their cut-off reduced from the 40th to the 20th percentile.
