In specific areas of central and north Kashmir and some parts of the Jammu region, there could be prolonged intervals between rain showers today (i.e., dry weather/no rainfall for several hours)

The continuous downpour in south Kashmir may result in the escalation of water levels in streams and the Jhelum river.

Today, it is better to stay away from Vishow Nallah in Kulgam district as it is expected to encounter a major rise in the water level.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2023 exam tomorrow, May 7, 2023. Over 20 lakh candidates have registered for the Medical entrance examination. Admission to 10 degrees, including MBBS, is provided by the 13-language NEET UG exam. Pen and paper will be used to administer the test at 499 locations across the nation.

The NEET exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 7 from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Candidates have to attempt 180 questions that carry 720 marks in total.

Go to the exam admit card link under the candidates’ activity tab.
Log in with the required details

NEET UG 2023 Exam Day guidelines:

  • Candidates must carry the NTA NEET UG 2023 admit card along with a photo ID card to the exam hall. Without these documents, candidates will not be allowed.
  • On the attendance sheet, one passport-size photo must be pasted.
  • Students must arrive at the exam centre by the reporting time specified on their admit cards.
  • Candidates who plan to take the exam must adhere to the established dress code. Shoes, jewellery, or anything metallic, along with light clothing with long sleeves, are not allowed. Low-heeled sandals and slippers are acceptable footwear.
  • Textbooks, scraps of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators, scales, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, calculators, log tables, electronic pens, etc. are prohibited from being brought into the exam centre by students.

Srinagar, May 06 (KNO): The School Education Department Thursday said that it will likely post those teachers in Zone-IV and V who will have stay of three or more years and will try to evade transfers under ATD-2023.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) in a press conference has said that the teachers who have stay of three or more years will have to apply for the transfers

“Some of the teachers who have a stay of three or more years have a concept that they will go unnoticed if they didn’t apply for their transfer but I want to inform those teachers that if they didn’t apply for it, they will definitely get transferred to Zone-IV and V,” DSEJ said.

Earlier, the department in the Annual Transfer Drive announcement has said that eligible employees not applying for transfer despite having a mature stay shall be transferred by the Department anywhere as per the requirement of the Department.

It also said that the preferences for posting shall be that an employee who is working in Zone-I shall opt for Zone- II, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-II shall opt for Zone- I, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-III shall opt for Zone-I, II, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-IV shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and V. An employee who is working in Zone-V shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and IV.

According to the School Education Department, Zone-I falls within municipal limit of district headquarter, Zone-II outside municipal limit upto 20km from district headquarter, Zone-III beyond 20km to 40Kms from district headquarter, Zone-IV beyond 40kms and above from district headquarter and also where change of residence is required. In addition, those schools where there is no motorable road and walking distance from the nearest motorable road is 7 KMs or more one way—(KNO)

Srinagar, May 6 (GNS): Four persons including a couple were killed in cloud burst and lightning strike incidents at two different locations in Kashmir Valley on Saturday, officials said.

A senior police officer told GNS that there was cloudburst incident at Bujbagh area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district this afternoon, resulting in the death of two persons namely Hilal Ahmed Hanji (25) and his wife Rozia Jan (25).

Separately, officials told GNS that two persons died when lightning struck them at a high-altitude meadow land in Mujpathri area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The deceased have been identified as Taja Begum, wife of Abdus Samad Chopan and Mohammad Sultan Chopan son-in-law of Ghulam Mohammad Chopan of Gurwaith Kalan.

They said that police have registered cases in connection with both incidents. (GNS)

New Delhi: The CBSE Class 10, 12 Result 2023 will be announced by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) soon. The CBSE Board Class 10 Result 2023, and CBSE Board Class 12 Result 2023 will be released on the board’s official website cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in. Students must keep their admit card and registration details handy as they will ask to enter the credentials on the result declaration page. 

The board conducted the class 10 board examination for the academic year 2022-2023 from February 15  to March 21. For class 12, the examination started on February 15 only. The last exam was on April 5.

Step 2: Click on the active result link

Step 3: A new page will appear

Step 4: Enter the enrollment number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format

Step 5: Click on submit

Step 6: Your CBSE Board Result 2023 wil appear on the screen

Step 7: Download the result and take a printout for future reference

This year, close to 38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE 10th and 12th exams this year. For class 10, more than 21 lakh students appeared and 16, lakh students appeared for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Result 2023.
