BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship 2024-25: Empowering Delhi’s Underprivileged Students

BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) has launched the BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship 2024-25, aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds in Delhi. This initiative seeks to support students at a crucial stage of their education, helping them continue their studies without the financial burden that often forces them to enter the workforce prematurely.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to: Indian nationals residing in Delhi.
  • Educational Requirement: Applicants must be in their final year of an undergraduate program in any stream at a government institute in Delhi.
  • Academic Performance: A minimum of 55% marks in the last appeared examination is required.
  • Financial Need: The applicant’s family income must not exceed INR 6,00,000 annually from all sources.

JKSSB Postpones PET/PST for Forest, Ecology & Environment Department Recruitment

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced the date for the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024. As per the latest notice dated 21st October 2024, all eligible candidates who have applied for the examination under Notification No. 04-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 issued on 26th July 2024, are informed that the exam will be held on Sunday, 17th November 2024.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released the date sheet for the Jammu & Kashmir State Open School (JKSOS) Class 12th Annual Session 2023-24. This date sheet is applicable for the first fresh batch from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Examination Schedule

The exams will commence on November 5, 2024, and conclude on November 27, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM on all exam days. Below is the subject-wise schedule:

ACB arrests Patwari of halqa Mujagund for accepting bribe of Rs 50,000

Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNO): Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday said to have trapped and arrested a Patwari Halqa Mujagund, Sriangar red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 50,000.

A statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that J&K Anti Corruption Bureau received a written complaint wherein it was alleged Ruman Qayoom, Patwari Halqa Mujagund is demanding Rs 1 lakh as bribe against Registration Stamp duty required for registration of the of the land measuring 02 kanals purchased by the complainant and issuance of revenue extracts thereof.

“The complaint after negotiations settled at Rs 50000 as first instalment and remaining Rs 50000 after completion of the task. However complainant did not want to pay the bribe and decided to approach Anti Corruption Bureau with a written complaint for taking legal action against the accused public servant under law.”

It reads that on receipt of the complaint the discreet verification was conducted, which confirms the demand by the public servant concerned and accordingly a case under FIR number 22/2024 under section 7 PC Act 1988 was registered in this Bureau and investigation was taken up.

“During the course of investigation a trap team was constituted which laid a successful trap and caught the accused public servant Ruman Qayoom R/o Sector-C, Gulberg Colony Hyderpora Srinagar red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs 50000 from the complainant,” the statement reads.

After completing all formalities, the accused Public Servant was taken into custody, the statement said, adding that further investigation of the instant case is going on—(KNO)

Fresh Weather Update for Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh

A weak Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir from the evening of October 23rd through October 24th. This system may bring light snowfall to the higher elevations of North Kashmir, Ganderbal, and Anantnag districts. Snowfall is also likely at Phase 2 in Gulmarg and Zojila Pass in Sonamarg.

In the plains, the weather is expected to remain largely dry, though a brief spell of rain in some areas cannot be ruled out.

There is also a possibility of gusty winds.

Nothing significant is expected in Jammu region.

In Ladakh, there is also a chance of light snowfall in a few spots, especially in Kargil district.

Srinagar, Oct 21: Minister for education Sakina Itoo Monday said that the government will seek suggestions from all the concerned stakeholders regarding restoring academic session which was shifted from November-December to March in 2022.

Speaking with reporters, Itoo, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) during JK Science Congress 2024 held at Women’s College MA Road Srinagar said, “We will seek suggestions from all the stakeholders with regard to the restoration of the academic session.”

She said that they can only decide it after appropriate suggestions from all stakeholders. “Today, I will chair a review meeting with the officials of the education department,” she added—(KNO)

Notification for apprentice

For HR Trainee vacancies, candidates need a full time graduate degree and a two-year full time first class or 60 per cent ,arks (55 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/PH candidates) in MBA / PG Degree/ PG Diploma or equivalent in Human Resource Management / Human Resource Development / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Social Work / Labour Welfare course.

For HR Trainee vacancies, candidates should not be more than 26 years old on September 1, 2024.

Notification for HR trainee

For Trade Apprentice (ex-ITI) vacancies, merit lists will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination in each trade/discipline.

The common merit list for Fresher Apprentice vacancies will be based on marks scored in Class 10/Madhyamik or equivalent examination. Allotment of trade will be made after joining in order of merit and availability of seats.

For HR Trainee, shortlisting of candidates will based on overall marks scored in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will appear for interviews after document verification. The final selection will be based on performance (marks obtained) in the interview.
