Govt postpones holiday on Urs of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din (RA) on Monday

Srinagar, Sept 30 (GNS): The government Saturday postponed holiday on account of Urs of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din (RA) which was scheduled on Monday for Kashmir Province.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1582-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated 11.12.2023, the Provincial holiday on account of Urs Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Sahib, scheduled on 30.09.2024 for Kashmir Province, is hereby postponed,” reads a government order, a copy of which lies with GNS.

The fresh date regarding same shall be notified separately, the order added. (GNS)

As per an official, the council announced admissions in Montessori Teacher Training Program exclusively for women, alongside a Rapid Spoken English Course. “These initiatives are designed to cater to individuals seeking professional growth and proficiency in English communication,” official said.

He highlighted the uniqueness of the Montessori Teacher Training Program, emphasizing its global certification and job-oriented curriculum. “The program, set to commence soon, offers limited seats, underlining its popularity and relevance in the educational sector.”

NABARD Recruitment 2024: Apply Now for 108 Vacancies, 10th Pass Eligible

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has issued a short recruitment notification for 108 vacancies of office attendant posts. The Government of India-owned apex organsation has invited candidates who have completed their 10th standard and are aged between 18 and 30 years old as of October 1, 2024 to apply for the vacancies.

Interested job aspirants can submit their applications through the official website of nabard starting from October 2, 2024. Applicants who get selected for the post will receive a salary of Rs 35,000.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for Office attendant posts will done in two stages -Online Tests that is divided into Preliminary Online Test and Mains Online Test followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Those who pass in the online test will be able to appear for the LPT.

Salary Details

The monthly salary for the Office Attendants in Group ‘C’ posts is Rs 35,000. They are also entitled to get various perks and allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance along with the basic salary.

Candidates who have qualified for NEET-PG are advised to register through the BOPEE website from 28th September 2024 to 2nd October 2024 (midnight).

Postponement of Holiday on Account of Urs Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din Sahib

Jammu, September 27, 2024: The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has announced the postponement of the holiday scheduled for September 30, 2024 (Monday), on account of Urs Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din Noorani (RA). According to an official communication from the Revenue Department, this decision follows a recommendation from the CEO of the J&K Waqf Board, based on the appearance of the moon and the calculated date for the 26th of Rabi-us-Sani, when the Urs is traditionally celebrated.

The Waqf Board’s letter to the government noted that the Urs is now expected to fall in the last week of October 2024. In response, the government has requested the General Administration Department to reconsider and postpone the holiday initially scheduled for September 30. A new date for the holiday will be announced after the final recommendation from the CEO of the J&K Waqf Board.

Further information on the revised holiday will be communicated separately once the date is finalized.

For now, all government offices and institutions are expected to operate as usual on September 30, 2024.

Medical Officer:  It is most important to mention that the Candidate must have an MBBS degree from a recognized University or Institution and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
