The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the rescheduling of the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for various posts under the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department. Originally planned for September 2024, these tests have now been postponed to the first fortnight of October 2024.

This decision is an extension of the previous notice No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM/UT/10/2023-03 (7055504) dated 10 July 2024. Candidates are advised to take note of this change and prepare accordingly.

Admin Initiates Action Against 5 Government Employees Over Alleged Involvement in Political Activities In Anantnag

Srinagar, Aug 30 (GNS): Acting tough against the violation of Model Code of Conduct, the District administration Anantnag on Friday said to have taken disciplinary action against five government employees allegedly of participating in political activities during the ongoing elections.

Underline that the participation in political activities by government employees constitutes a violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC), the administration in a statement issued to GNS, said that two employees have been suspended with immediate effect for their involvement in political activities while the wages of another two have been withheld till further orders.

“Suspension has been recommended against one more employee,” reads the statement.

“The Election Commission’s guidelines are clear in this regard that government employees must refrain from any form of political activity or campaigning during the election period to ensure the fairness and impartiality of the electoral process,” reads the statement.

“The District Election Officer has issued a stern warning to all government employees to desist from participating in political activities. He has further reminded them of their duty to strictly adhere to the directives provided by the Election Commission of India,” the statement further reads. (GNS)

CSIRUGC NET 2024 Result: The provisional answer keys were released on August 8.

CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research- National Eligibility Test (CSIR-  NET) 2024 results and official answer keys shortly. Those who appeared for the exam will be able to access their scorecards by visiting the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in, once they are available. The exam was conducted in 187 cities at 348 centres nationwide on July 25, 26, and 27, with a total of 2,25,335 candidates participating.

The provisional answer key and question paper, along with recorded responses, were released on August 8, with the challenge window open between August 9 and August 11. Candidates who were dissatisfied with the provisional key were allowed to raise objections by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question.

Challenges raised by the candidates were verified by a panel of subject experts. In cases where a challenge was found to be valid, the answer key was revised and applied to the responses of all candidates accordingly. The final results were then prepared and declared based on the revised answer key.
