Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2024: The Indian Navy has released the notification for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for various entries commencing June 2025 onwards. Eligible candidates can submit applications on the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in from September 14 to 29, 2024.

The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 250 vacancies of SSC Officer posts.

“Applications are invited from eligible unmarried men and unmarried women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for course commencing Jun 2025 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates must fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India,” reads the notification. Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2024

The Indian Navy invites online applications for the SSC officer’s entry at various branches or cadres through the course commencing from June 2025 onwards at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. As per the advertisement, the Indian Navy has released 250 vacancies for the SSC Officers Entry.

Eligible candidates who wish to join the Indian Navy and work in the dynamic environment can submit their online application from 14 September 2024 till 29 September 2024. The Indian Navy will grant the Short Service Commission for 10 years first, which can be extended to a maximum of 4 years in two terms based on candidates’ performance, willingness, requirement, and medical fitness.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2024: Candidates willing to apply for the Indian Navy SSO Officer Entry 2024 can check their eligibility to apply from the below eligibility criteria:

Age Limit:

• Applicants’ age limit may vary from branch to branch, for instance, the candidates applying for the Executive and Technical branches should be born between 2 July 2000 to 01 January 2006 (18 years to 24 years)
• Applicants applying for the educational branch should be born between 2 July 2000 to 01 July 2004.
• The candidates are advised to check the age limit for the different branches on the detailed notification.

Educational Qualification:

• The educational qualifications may vary based on the branch and post you are applying for, the candidates must fulfill the required qualifications for the concerned post mentioned in the notification, for instance,  Pilot/ Naval Air Operations/ Air Traffic Controller must have acquired the BE/ B.Tech in any discipline with at least 60% marks and have attained 60% marks in English (class X and XII).
• Applicants who have chosen SSC (pilot) entry are advised to check the physical /medical standards for the Pilot entry before applying, they should know they will be considered for the SSB/Aviation Medical examination/CPSS.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2024: The Indian Navy will select the applicants for the SSC Officers entry through the SSC course commencing in June 2025 based on the following selection process:

• The Indian Navy will shortlist the candidates based on the marks acquired by the applicants in the qualifying examinations, the marks of the candidates will be normalized through the normalized formula.
• The candidates who appear for the final examinations of the qualifying degree will need to submit their proof of qualifying for the degree through the email officer@navy.gov.in
• The shortlisted candidates will be informed about the SSB interviews through SMS or a registered email address.
• The candidates will undergo a medical fitness examination as per the Indian Navy rules.
• The authority will prepare the final merit list of the selected candidates based on the SSB marks and medical clearance for the SSC Officers Entry. Initially, the candidates will be appointed at the Sub Lieutenant rank after they complete their course and clear the medical fitness at INA, Kerala.
