The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), based in Lal Mandi, Srinagar, has released the practical examination schedule for the Higher Secondary Examination Part II (class 12th) session Annual Regular 2024. Important Information:

– Examination Times: The examinations will be conducted in two sessions:
– Morning Session: Starting at 10:00 AM
– Evening Session: Starting at 01:00 PM

Examination Centers:The practical examinations will be held at various designated centers across Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates are advised to refer to their examination admit cards for specific details regarding their allotted examination centers.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 31-03-2024, 1700 hrs. to 01-04-2024, 1700 hrs., Jammu-Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 03 hrs due to stone slide at Kishtwari Pather. Slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 02 HMVs and single lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. and poor surface condition of road at many places between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel. 2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu- Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours

as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal. 3. Load carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. on Jammu Srinagar NHW.

4. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

5. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 02-04-2024:- Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. However, HMVs shall be managed on regulated manner after assessing the road condition.

Cut off timing for LMVs in view of single road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather etc:- (subject to change depending on road condition)

from Nagrota (Jammu) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0700 hrs to 1400 hrs & from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs

No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

SSG ROAD

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road is still blocked.

Mughal Road:-

Mughal road is still blocked due to snow accumulation.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-

Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still blocked due to snow accumulation.

Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is still blocked due to snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake journey on NH-44 only after confirming status

of the road from Traffic control units as under:-

The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has recently released the model question papers for Class 8th students. These papers serve as a valuable resource for students to understand the exam pattern and prepare efficiently.

According to a statement by the JKBOSE, the model papers have been prepared by the State Council Of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) in alignment with the board’s latest syllabus and assessment scheme.

The model papers cover key subjects including English, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Urdu, Kashmiri, Hindi, and Punjabi. Each paper contains a similar format and level of difficulty expected in the final exams

An official from JKBOSE mentioned, “The model papers will give students much-required practice and help them plan their studies in a strategic manner. We advise all schools and students to actively utilize these resources for their year-end assessments.“

The newly announced model papers for Class 8th are now exclusively available for free download as a single consolidated PDF at Kashmir Student Alerts, a leading education portal in the valley.

CUET UG 2024 Registration Deadline Extended: Don’t Miss Out, Check Details Now!

CUET UG 2024 result will be declared on June 30.

The registration deadline for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Undergraduate (UG) 2024 has been extended once again. The application window will now remain open until April 5. Those who have not yet registered for the entrance test can submit their applications on the official website.

The test will be conducted in hybrid mode from May 15 to May 31 at several exam centres nationwide.

Previously, the deadline for application submission was extended to March 31 from the initial last date of March 26. However, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar decided to further extend the registration period following appeals from applicants and other interested parties.

CUET UG 2024 Application Fee:

General category students are required to pay ₹ 400 per subject or ₹ 1,000 for up to three subjects.

OBC-NCL/EWS students are obligated to pay ₹ 375 per subject or ₹ 900 for up to three subjects.

Candidates from SC/ST/PwBD/third gender categories need to pay ₹ 350 per subject or ₹ 800 for up to three subjects.

The exam will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Bengali, Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Assamese, Kannada, Odia, and Urdu.

The CUET UG 2024 result will be declared on June 30. To access the result, candidates will need their registration number and date of birth.
