CBSE Issues Advisory for Smooth Conduct of Board Exams

In a move to address the logistical challenges posed by the ongoing farmers’ “Delhi Chalo” march and the associated traffic restrictions in the national capital, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued a comprehensive advisory on Wednesday for students appearing in the upcoming board exams. With the board exams for Classes 10 and 12 set to commence from Thursday, the advisory aims to guide the more than 39 lakh students across India and 26 other countries, emphasizing the importance of timely arrival at examination centers.

Current Traffic Situation:

Delhi, being the epicenter of the ongoing farmers’ protest, is grappling with increased traffic congestion due to the “Delhi Chalo” march. Recognizing the potential challenges this presents to students heading to their examination centers, the CBSE advisory urges students to leave their homes early, emphasizing the need to reach the centers well before the 10 am start time for exams.

Specific Instructions for Students:

The advisory underscores that given the 10:30 am commencement of examinations, students are directed to reach their examination centers on or before 10 am. Acknowledging the expected traffic issues in the capital, the advisory strongly recommends the use of metro services, emphasizing their smooth operation. This strategic suggestion aims to mitigate the impact of potential delays caused by traffic restrictions.

Nationwide Impact:

The impact of the advisory extends beyond Delhi, as more than 39 lakh students from India and various other countries prepare to take their board exams. The CBSE advisory highlights the importance of meticulous planning for students, requesting them to consider local conditions, traffic, weather conditions, and distance while planning their journeys to examination centers.

Role of Schools:

Recognizing the pivotal role schools play in supporting students, the advisory calls upon educational institutions to assist and guide parents and students. This collaborative effort between schools and parents is crucial to ensuring that students are well-prepared and can navigate potential challenges, ultimately arriving at their examination centers on time.

As the nation braces for the start of board exams, the importance of timely and strategic planning cannot be overstated, and the CBSE’s advisory serves as a valuable guide for students and educational institutions alike.
