High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Jammu Notice for Candidates who have applied for the posts of Accounts Clerks, Data Analysts, and Computer Operator.

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Jammu has released a notice for candidates who have applied for the posts of Accounts Clerks, Data Analysts, and Computer Operator. The notice states that the Computer Based Test (CBT) for these posts will be held on Sunday, 25th of February, 2024.

The test will be conducted for candidates who applied for these posts in response to Advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2019 dated 10.01.2019.

The CBT will be held at Jammu for Jammu Division candidates and Srinagar for Kashmir Division candidates simultaneously.

The following criteria and syllabus has been approved for selection to the aforesaid posts:

For the posts of Data Entry Operators/Computer Operators:

  • Written test of 40 marks of 40 minutes duration. The candidates shall have to appear in the written test comprising of one objective type question paper of 40 questions, each carrying one mark, on the following subjects:
    • Computer related = 15 Marks
    • English Language = 10 Marks
    • General Awareness = 10 Marks
    • General Aptitude = 05 Marks

(Note: There shall be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for one wrong answer).

  • Interview/Viva Voce = 10 Marks

On the basis of the performance in the written test, candidates shall be called for interview/viva-voce in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5.

For the posts of Accounts Clerk:

  • Written test of 40 marks of 40 minutes duration. The candidates shall have to appear in the written test comprising of one objective type question paper of 40 questions, each carrying one mark, on the following subjects:
    • Accountancy related = 20 Marks
    • English Language = 10 Marks
    • General Awareness = 10 Marks

(Note: There shall be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for one wrong answer).

  • Interview/Viva Voce = 10 Marks

On the basis of the performance in the written test, candidates shall be called for interview/viva-voce in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5.

For the posts of Library Assistants:

  • Written test of 40 marks of 40 minutes duration. The candidates shall have to appear in the written test comprising of one objective type question paper of 40 questions, each carrying one mark, on the following subjects:
    • Library Management related = 15 Marks
    • English Language = 15 Marks
    • General Awareness = 10 Marks

Recruitment for 2895 Vacancies, Salary and Selection Process

(Note: There shall be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for one wrong answer).

  • Interview/Viva Voce = 10 Marks

On the basis of the performance in the written test, candidates shall be called for interview/viva-voce in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5.

DSEK has asked all CEOs of region to promote voter education, electoral literacy for greater electoral participation

Srinagar, Jan 25 (KNO): Following the directives of Ministry of Education (MoE), Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has asked all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the region to promote voter education and electoral literacy by formalizing curriculum for the greater electoral participation.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the directorate in a communiqué to CEOs of Kashmir region has said that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) and Department of Higher Education has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Election Commission of India (ECI) on November-02-2023 for promoting voter education and electoral literacy by formalizing them in the curriculum thereby preparing future and new voters for greater electoral participation.

It said that a number of action points emerge from the MoU which primarily relate to the area of school education.

“These include integration of voter education and electoral literacy NCF for classes 6 to 12 for all schools, including Electoral Literacy in the curriculum for adult literacy and basic education,” it reads,

The directorate further said that points that emerged from the MoU includes conducting of special drives, mobilization campaigns, pledge and participatory activities in schools such as mock polls, EVM-VVPAT demonstrations, information about ECI mobile apps, conduct competitions for electoral education and outreach, celebration of National Voters Day, designating a ‘Democracy Room’ in each school for display of electoral awareness material, electoral Literacy Clubs in each school etc.

DSEK in this regard has requested the CEOs to take necessary actions on these points and activities. “The action taken report shall be shared with DSEK accordingly.”—(KNO)

Dry spell likely to end as MeT predicts intermittent wet spell till Feb 2

Srinagar, Jan 25 (KNO): The people across the valley are pinning hopes for the much-awaited snowfall as the weatherman here has predicted intermittent wet spell till February 02.

So far, the weather conditions have remained dry throughout the Chillai-Kalan till date, but as per the forecast, the light snowfall is expected from this evening.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the local Meteorological department said, light snowfall is expected at isolated higher reaches tonight.

On Jan 26, generally cloudy with light rain over plains and light snow at isolated higher reaches is expected towards early morning.

However, on Jan 27, generally cloudy with possibility of light snowfall at isolated higher reaches towards late evening is expected.

Moreover, on Jan 28-29, amidst cloudy weather, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, snow over many places.

On Jan 30-31, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, snow at widespread places most likely.

On February 01 and 02, there is a possibility of light rain, snow at many places.

Meanwhile, the weatherman as per KNO has issued an advisory in wake of the weather system from January 28-31, saying that it may lead to temporary closure of roads of higher reaches and important passes like Sinthan pass, Mughal Road, Sadhna and Razdan pass, Zojila etc.

“Travellers are advised to plan accordingly,” the MeT Director, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said.

Moreover, the minimum temperature has improved at multiple places with Srinagar recording a low of minus 3.6 degree Celsius.

At minus 6.3 degree Celsius, Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination was the coldest in Kashmir while Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, recorded a low of minus 4.5 degree Celsius.

Qazigund, the gateway of Kashmir has recorded a low of minus 4.2 degree Celsius while in Kokernag, the mercury settled at minus 1.6 degree Celsius. In Kupwara, the mercury settled at minus 3.7 degree Celsius—(KNO)

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 26-01-2024

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 24-01-2024, 1700 hrs. to 25-01-2024, 1700 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 03 HMVs and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas and single lane traffic at Cafeteria-Mehad, Magerkote, Nachlana and Hingani between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

3. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

4. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 26-01-2024:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.

 

SFs Convoy Movement:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

 

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road shall be allowed from both sides viz Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 0830 hrs. to 1100 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil between 1230 hrs to 1530 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timings. SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil, shall leave Srinagar at 0800 hrs. SFs Convoy plying from Drass to Srinagar shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic doesn’t get disturbed.

 

Mughal Road:-

Tomorrow subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Mughal road shall be allowed from both sides viz. Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) between 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs. after green signal from road agencies.

People are advised to undertake journey on NH-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
