UGC NET June 2024: NTA Announces Revised Exam Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 for the June session. Candidates can check the schedule from the official website of UGC NET — ugcnet.nta.ac.in. According to the notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be re-conducted between August 21 and September 4 in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

The notification regarding intimation of the city of exam centre will be displayed on NTA website(s) ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, 10 days before the exam.

Earlier, the exam was conducted in pen and paper format on June 18 and in two shifts. The timings for the first shift were from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the second shift started from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm.

  1. The UGC NET June 2024 allegedly got ‘cancelled’ a day after its conduction because of paper leakage charges. The test was conducted in 317 cities from all over India and over 9 lakhs of candidates participated in it.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (J&K BOPEE) has released a notification (No. 063-BOPEE of 2024) concerning the online submission of preferences for candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology courses for the year 2024. J&K govt sacks 6 govt employees over narco-terror links

Srinagar, Aug 03 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir government has terminated six employees from their services over narco-terror links, officials said on Saturday.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that five policemen and a teacher were terminated for their involvement in terror financing through drug sale.

He said that the administration led by LG Governor Manoj Sinha has invoked Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution of India to sack these employees.

He said their probe established that they were part of narco-terror network run by Pakistan’s ISI and terror outfits operating from its soil—(KNO)

How to Apply SSC JHT 2024 ?

The candidates can follow the given steps to apply online for SSC JHT Recruitment 2024:

Step 1: Go to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Online’

Step 3: Log in to the online system using your ‘Registration Number’ and password.

Step 4: You will find the ‘Latest Notifications’ tab, click on ‘Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2024’ section, and click on the ‘Apply’ link.

Step 4: Enter your details

Step 5: Upload your recent photograph and signature.

Step 6: Carefully review the declaration again and click the “I agree” checkbox if you accept the terms. Fill in the captcha code.

Step 7: Preview and verify all the provided information.

Step 8: Proceed to make the fee payment if applicable (not exempted from fee

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2024

The exam will have two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates can check the details of both papers below:

  • Paper 1 will have questions on General Hindi and General English. This paper tests the candidate’s language skills and includes topics like grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, etc. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I
  • Paper 2 is a subjective paper that tests translation skills of 200 marks. Candidates are required to translate passages from Hindi to English and vice versa. This paper evaluates the candidate’s ability to translate accurately and effectively.
  • The duration of both the papers will be 2 hours
