The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the provisional answer key for the written examination conducted on May 19, 2024, for various posts.

How to challenge the answer key

Candidates who have objections to the answer key can submit their objections in writing to the JKSSB office in Jammu or Srinagar. The objections must be submitted along with a documentary proof/evidence substantiating the claim and a fee of Rs 200 per question.

Heat wave: SED orders change in school timing in Jammu’s summer zones

Srinagar, May 19 (KNO): In view of intense heat wave, the School Education Department Sunday directed to observe class work from 8 Am to 12 noon in summer zone areas of Jammu region from Monday (May 20).

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), School Education Department said it has instructed the concerned CEOs to revise the timing in consultation with concerned Deputy Commissioners.

Talking to microblogging site, X, the department said, “Due to the intense heat wave, all schools falling in the Summer zone shall observe timing from 8 AM to 12 Noon from 20.5.2024 till further orders.” (SIC)

It reads, “Regarding, the winter Zones in the Jammu Division, requests have been received to adjust school timings. Chief Education Officers (CEOs) are instructed to revise the timings in consultation with the respective Deputy Commissioner, following past practices, whereever required.”—(KNO)

UGC NET June 2024: The extended registration window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET June 2024) will be closed on May 19, at 11:59 pm. Candidates who are yet to register for the exam can do it on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA), ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The original application deadline for the exam was May 10 which was first extended to May 15 and then to May 19.

The revised schedule mentions that the application fee of the UGC NET June session can be paid till May 20 (11:59 pm).

The application form correction window will be opened from May 21 to 23 (11:59 pm).

The UGC NET June exam is scheduled for June 18. It was originally scheduled for June 16 but was later postponed.

Two students achieved perfect 100 NTA scores in both the BArch and BPlanning exams.
