CUET-UG Exam Rescheduled Due to Wrong Question Paper Distribution

Wrong CUET-UG Question Paper Distributed At Kanpur Centre, Exam Rescheduled

The exam will be conducted on May 29 for over 220 students at an exam centre in Kanpur.

The National Testing Agency said on Friday that the CUET-UG exam held at a centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur will be conducted on May 29 as a wrong question paper was distributed here. The agency also denied reports of the question paper being leak at the centre.

“The exam will be conducted on May 29 for over 220 students at an exam centre at Maharana Pratap Group of Colleges in Kanpur. This decision was taken after a wrong question paper was distributed on May 15,” a senior National Testing Agency (NTA) official said.

“There was no paper leak, the invigilators mistakenly distributed English medium question papers to Hindi medium students,” the official added.

The NTA will also conduct the CUET-UG exam for Delhi centres on May 29 as the May 15 exam was postponed a night before, citing unavoidable reasons.

A similar incident occurred while conducting the NEET-UG exam on May 5 during which Hindi medium students at one centre in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur were handed English medium question papers.

Their exam was later conducted on the same day. The NTA had also refuted reports of a paper leak in the exam.

The third edition of the country’s largest test is being conducted in hybrid mode for the first time. The exams of four subjects — Chemistry, Biology, English and General Test — were scheduled for May 15.

The offline tests will be conducted between May 15 and May 19, followed by computer-based tests for other subjects between May 21 and May 24.

The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has released a notice regarding the downloading of admit cards for the University Entrance Test (UET) PG & UG (Economics and Data Science) scheduled for May 26, 2024 (Sunday).

Downloading of Admit Cards

  • Admit cards can be downloaded starting from May 20, 2024 (Monday) at 11:00 AM onwards.
  • The download link will be available on the SKUAST-K website https://skuastkashmir.co.in/.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • The admit card is issued provisionally and is subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
  • Admit cards will not be sent by post or email.
  • Candidates are instructed to not mutilate or change any entry made on the admit card.
  • It is recommended that candidates carefully read the instructions contained on the admit card.

JK Samagra Shiksha Instructs CEOs to Open Bank Accounts for All Eligible Students

Open bank accounts of all eligible students: JK Samagra Shiksha to CEOs

Srinagar, May 17 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Samagra Shiksha Friday asked all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) to open bank accounts of all eligible students wherein it will transfer funds to the students under RTE act.

Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Rakesh Magotra in a communiqué to the CEOs said that it will transfer the funds through DBT mode into the accounts of students from first primary to 8th class of government schools for free uniform under Samagra Shiksha for year 2024-25.

The RTE Act mandates free and compulsory education for all children in government schools. The Scheme provides two sets of uniform to all girls, SC, ST and Below Poverty Line (BPL) boys at an average cost of Rs 600 per child per annum.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the project director in a communiqué said that the directorate was in process for making DBT on account of uniform for the year 2024-25 in favour of all eligible students.

“In this regard CEOs are requested to open the bank accounts of all such eligible students who have not opened a bank account yet within a period of 15 days,” it reads.

The Samagra Shiksha official has further directed to submit the details of all eligible students to this office for further necessary action—(KNO)

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has released JEE Advanced Admit Card 2024 on May 17, 2024. The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced hall tickets can be downloaded from the official website of IIT JEE at jeeadv.ac.in.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2024: How to download

All those candidates who want to download the admit card can follow the steps given below.

  • Visit the official website of IIT JEE at jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Click on JEE Advanced 2024 admit card link available on the home page.
  • A new page will open where candidates can enter the login details.
  • Click on submit and download the page.
  • Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

As per the official website, the copy of candidates responses will be available on the website on May 31, 2024. The online display of provisional answer key will be done on June 2, 2024. The objection window will remain opened till June 3, 2024. The results and final answer key will be available on June 9, 2024.

The IIT JEE admit card link will be available for download on the official website till 2.30 pm on May 26, 2024. JEE Advanced 2024 examination will be conducted on May 26, 2024. The examination consists of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Appearing in both the papers is compulsory. The exam will be conducted in two shifts- Paper 1 will be conducted in first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be conducted in second shift- from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The admit card will bear the following details of the candidate: Name, Roll number for JEE (Advanced) 2024, photograph, signature, date of birth, address for correspondence and category. How to Download Admit Card

  1. Visit the official website of BOPEE: https://www.jkbopee.gov.in/
  2. Click on the link for downloading the admit card.
  3. Enter your registration details.
  4. Download your admit card and take a printout.

  • Download Admit Card: May 20, 2024 (from 11:30 AM onwards)

Candidate Identification/Photo ID Proof

Examination

  • Candidates will be given an OMR answer sheet. They will go through the instructions printed on it and fill in their particulars on the OMR answer sheet.

  • The candidates will break open the seal of the question booklet and start attempting the questions.

Important Note

  • After the distribution of OMR sheets, no candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall under any circumstances.

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Issues Notification for Unfair Means and Misconduct Cases

Jammu, May 17, 2024 – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification for candidates of Higher Secondary Part-II (12th Class) Annual/Regular Examination, 2024, from both Soft and Hard Zone areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The notification addresses those candidates who are alleged to have engaged in various forms of misconduct during the examinations. These allegations include the use of unfair means, misbehavior, tearing of answer sheets, and the use of non-prescribed ink.

The accused candidates are required to appear before the Committee for scrutiny and disposal of their cases. The hearings will take place in the Office Chambers of the Joint Secretary, Secrecy, JD. Candidates must attend these hearings at their own expense to defend themselves against the charges.

The schedule for these hearings is detailed in the notification, and the candidates must strictly adhere to it. Failure to appear will result in the assumption that the candidate has no defense to offer, and the Sub-Committee will make a final decision based on the available records and reports. This decision will be binding on the candidates.

Jammu, 17 May 2024 – The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the final selection lists and waiting lists for several posts across different departments, providing much-anticipated updates for candidates.

Field Assistant Posts – Divisional Cadres of Jammu and Kashmir

The final selection list for the posts of Field Assistant, advertised under Notification No. 03 of 2021 dated 04.06.2021, has been released. These posts pertain to Item Nos. 571 and 572. Candidates who have applied for these positions in the divisional cadres of Jammu and Kashmir can now check their selection status.

Health and Medical Education Department – Various Posts

JKSSB has also forwarded the waiting list for several posts within the Health and Medical Education Department, as advertised under Advertisement No. 02 of 2021 dated 26.03.2021. These include:

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territories of J&K/Ladakh.
