The Jammu & Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank) has announced a program to engage apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 276 vacancies are available across various districts in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as other Indian states.

Eligibility

  • Graduation from a recognized university or institute (result should be declared by the last date of registration)
  • Proficiency in the local language of the respective region/area
  • Preference will be given to domiciles of the respective regions/areas

Details of the Program

  • Duration: One year
  • Stipend: Rs. 10,500 per month (out of which Rs. 1,500 will be disbursed by the Government agency through DBT)

NTA Postpones CUET UG 2024 Exam Scheduled for May 15 in Delhi, check new date here

This decision, announced shortly before the scheduled exam time, is attributed by the NTA to staffing challenges stemming from the concurrent Lok Sabha elections.

An official notice from the NTA informs all concerned candidates and stakeholders that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the test papers (Chemistry – 306, Biology – 304, English – 101 and General Test – 501) originally scheduled for May 15, 2024, in Delhi are postponed. The new date for these examinations is May 29, 2024. Revised admit cards will be issued accordingly for candidates in Delhi.

This decision, announced shortly before the scheduled exam time, is attributed by the NTA to staffing challenges stemming from the concurrent Lok Sabha elections. An NTA official explained that the CUET UG is a large-scale operation requiring numerous exam centres and invigilators. However, securing an adequate number of invigilators for the May 15 exam in Delhi was hindered by the ongoing elections. Consequently, the NTA opted to reschedule the exam to May 29.

Meanwhile, exams scheduled for May 15 in other cities across the nation, including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida, as well as those scheduled for later dates (May 16, 17, 18) in all centres, including Delhi, will proceed as planned.

On May 13, the NTA issued admit cards for CUET UG 2024. However, a subsequent notice advised candidates to download their hall tickets only after the evening of May 14, as any administrative changes to examination centres would be reflected in the updated admit cards.

Candidates can obtain their CUET UG 2024 admit cards from the official website – exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

CUET UG will be administered between May 15 and 24, accommodating approximately 13.48 lakh candidates across multiple exam centres in 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India. Exams scheduled from May 15 to 18 will be conducted in pen-and-paper format, while those from May 19 to 24 will be administered online.

Separately, according to the copy of orders with GNS, two Superintendents of Police— Amit Verma, JKPS, Dy. CO Border Bn. Jammu and Surinder Kumar, JKPS, Dy. CO IR 24th Bn—have been posted in the ACB.

IGNOU Releases Hall Ticket/ Admit Card for June 2024 Term End Examination

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has recently announced the release of Hall Tickets or Admit Cards for the June 2024 Term End Examination. The exams are scheduled to take place from June 7th to July 13th, 2024, covering various programs including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses offered by the university’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and International Open Programmes (IOP).

Downloading Process and Instructions

Candidates can easily download their Hall Tickets from the official IGNOU website, www.ignou.ac.in, using their enrollment numbers. It’s essential to note that IGNOU doesn’t dispatch physical hall tickets, and therefore, students must obtain their admit cards online. The process involves entering the enrollment number and selecting the program of study, followed by downloading and printing the Hall Ticket.

Mandatory Requirements for Examination

To appear in the examination, students must carry their printed Hall Ticket along with a valid IGNOU Student ID Card issued by the university. Without these documents, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center. In case of a misplaced ID card, candidates should apply for a duplicate ID card from the Regional Centre before the commencement of examinations.

IGNOU Hall Ticket Instructions for TEE June 2024

No hall ticket shall be dispatched to the examinees. Hall Tickets of all examinees are uploaded on the University Website (www.ignou.ac.in) 7-10 days before the commencement of the Term End Examinations. Therefore, learners are advised to visit IGNOU website for updates.

Students are advised to take the print out of the Hall Ticket from University website after entering the enrolment number and name of programme of study, and report at the examination centre along with the Identity Card issued by the University. Without a valid IGNOU Student ID Card issued by the University, examinees will not be permitted to appear in the examination.

In case, any learner has misplaced the Identify Card issued by the University, it is mandatory to apply for a duplicate Identity Card to the Regional Centre concerned well before commencement of the examinations so as to get a duplicate ID Card in time. Learners without valid ID Card will not be allowed to enter the Examination Centre premises. Students who have taken admission online can download their ID Card online.

IGNOU Permission for Appearing in Examination

Permission for appearing in examination is provisional and subject to the following conditions:-

  1. Registration for these courses is valid and not time barred;
  2. Required number of assignments in the courses have been submitted by due date wherever applicable;
  3. Have completed minimum time to pursue these courses as per the provision of your programme;
  4. Have paid the examination fee for all the courses you are appearing in the examination;
  5. In case of non-compliance of any of the above conditions, the result of all such courses will not be declared.

IGNOU Term End Examination Instructions

  1. Every day, the Examination will be held in two sessions, i.e. Morning Session from 10 AM to 1 PM and Evening Session from 2 PM to 5 PM. However, the actual duration of each exam will be mentioned on the Question Paper.
  2. Hall Tickets of the eligible students will be available on the University website soon. Students are advised to visit the University website (www.ignou.ac.in) regularly and download their Hall Ticket and follow the instructions printed on the Hall Ticket.
  3. Students may note that there can be a possibility of last minute change of examination Centre due to unavoidable circumstances. In such a condition, the University will take appropriate remedial measures. The affected students are advised to be in touch with their respective Regional Center.
  4. Answer to the question paper will only be accepted in the language(s) in which the programme is offered. Answer script attempted in any other language will not be evaluated and cancelled without any information. However, students have an option to attempt the examination of the course(s) in Hindi medium irrespective of registration of the same in English medium (except for language programmes).

JKPSC Releases Results of Rechecking of J&K Prosecuting Officer (G) (Mains) Examination

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the results of the rechecking of the J&K Prosecuting Officer (G) (Mains) Examination, 2022. The rechecking was carried out in accordance with Rule 43 of the J&K PSC (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, 2022.

A notice issued by the JKPSC states that no changes were found in the results that were already declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2023/36 dated 02.08.2023. The notice lists the roll numbers of the candidates who had applied for rechecking of their answer booklets.
