Qualification:

Short Service Commission in the Army Dental Corps is open to BDS/MDS candidates with requisite qualifications from a College/University recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The college should be recognized for the respective batch/year in which the candidate has graduated. Candidates must register themselves as Registered Dental Practitioners with any State Dental Council. Candidates must have obtained a mandatory minimum of 55% marks in final year BDS (Aggregate of all subjects)/ possess an MDS degree.

Age Limit: The maximum permissible age for SSC will be 45 years as of 31 December 2024.

Selection Process for Indian Army Recruitment 2024

(i) Screening for Call for Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2024 conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi. Candidates will be used for screening which will be called for interview.

(ii) Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for an interview before a duly constituted Selection Board to assess their suitability and eligibility for the award of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Army Dental Corps. Candidates eligible for interview will undergo a medical examination.

(iii) Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates are required to undergo a detailed medical examination to ensure their medical fitness.

Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted for interview will produce all original certificates along with the application/admit card which can be downloaded after filling application form for verification applicable at the time of the interview. Candidates without original documents at the time of the interview will not be eligible despite possessing the required qualifications.

Physical Standards for Army Dental Corps 2024

(a) Height Standard Male Candidates: The minimum height for entry into AFMS for male cadets is 157 cm. Minimum height of 152 cm for candidates from hilly and northeastern states.

(b) Female Candidates: The minimum height for female cadets to enter the armed forces is 152 cm. Minimum height of 147 cm for candidates from hilly and northeastern states.
