The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the provisional answer key for the posts of Stock Assistant on its official website. What’s Next After JKSSB Stock Assistant Answer Key 2024

After publication of the answer key for the Stock Assistant posts, candidates can now raise their objections, if any, regarding the answer key in prescribed format. Candidates can raise their objections/representations in offline mode only, in the office of JKSSB on three working days starting from January 15,2024, during office hours only.

You can raise your objections after paying the fee of Rs. 200/- (in the form of demand draft) per question in favour of the Accounts Officer, J&K Services Selection Board.  You will have to submit objections  along with the documentary proof/evidence substantiating the claim (hard copies only) as mentioned in the notification.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the selection list for the post of Junior Engineer Civil. A total of 163 candidates have been selected against 125 vacant posts.

Cut off Marks:

The minimum cut-off marks for the general category is 85-89 marks. The final selection will be made on the written exam held on Jan 14, 2024 and document verification.

After discussions with several aspirants and considering the poll conducted on Youtube channel and WhatsApp Groups, the final cut-off marks have been set at 85-89.

The provisional selection list has been uploaded on the official website of JKSSB. Candidates can check their result by logging into their account.

Those selected will be appointed as Junior Engineer Civil in various departments of the Jammu and Kashmir government. The pay scale is Level 6 as per the 7th Pay Commission.

This recruitment drive by JKSSB aims to fill 125 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer Civil. The selected candidates will receive their appointment letters soon.

Srinagar, 17 Jan (KNO): Amid unusual and prolonged dry spell in the Kashmir Valley, the Wildlife Department has banned unauthorized entry into the forests and Wildlife Protected Areas.

According to a notice, a copy of which also lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the department has asked people not to make unauthorized entry for any kind of activities in the forests, particularly Wildlife Protected Areas falling under its jurisdictions.

“Due to long prevailing dry spell in the Valley, there have been incidents of forest fires and there are strong apprehension of forest fires. Nobody should make unauthorized entry for any kind of activities in the Forests, particularly Wildlife Protected Areas without obtaining prior permission,” reads the notice.

It added that the entry has been banned particularly in Brane, Nishat Conservation Reserve, Dachigam National Park, Dara Conservation Reserve, Khrew/Khanmoh Conservation Reserve, Wangath Conservation Reserve and Thajwas Wildlife Sanctuary.

“Anybody found inside forests and Wildlife Protected areas shall be strictly dealt with under the provisions of Wildlife Protection Act”, it states—(KNO)

SAI Recruitment 2024: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has recently released an official notification for the recruitment of coaches on either a contract or deputation basis. The total number of vacancies available for these coaching positions is 214, distributed across various categories.

The positions include 9 posts for High-Performance Coach, 45 posts for Senior Coach, 43 posts for Coach, and 117 posts for Assistant Coach. UGC NET Result 2023-24: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the results of the Union Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) on January 17 for all 83 subjects. Candidates can check the marks for their respective subjects by visiting the official website (ugcnet.nta.ac.in). However, we will also provide the direct link of UGC NET Result once the scorecard is available on the NTA website. Those who score 40% will be declared qualified in the UGC NET Exam. The qualifying marks for SC, ST, and OBC candidates are 35%.

According to the official notice, “NTA announced in the Information Bulletin that the result of UGC – NET December 2023 would be declared on January 10, 2024, but due to a Natural Calamity (Michaung) in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, a Re-Exam was conducted in the interest of candidates. Therefore, the Final Result of the aforementioned examination will be declared on January 17, 2024, on the website.

NEET-MDS likely to be conducted in the third week of March: Sources

New Delhi, January 17: After the postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG), it is likely that NEET-MDS will be held in the third week of March, official sources said.

The NEET-MDS is likely to be held on March 18 this year.

Recently, the Federation of All India Medical Associations (FAIMA) also requested the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), New Delhi, to release the official date for the NEET-MDS examination.

Taking to ‘X’, Dr. Rohan Krishnan, Chairman, FAIMA, said “Requesting @NbeIndia,@MoHFW_INDIA to also release the tentative date of NEET, MDS.@mansukhmandviyaji@dentalcouncil8@FAIMA_INDIA_”.

However, many aspirants to the Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS), have been demanding postponement of the examination.

Recently, a delay in the conduct of the NEET-PG examination was announced.

“The conduct of the NEET-PG 2024 examination, which was earlier notified to be tentatively held on March 3, 2024, has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG 2024 shall now be conducted on July 7, 2024,” read the official release.

The NEET-MDS 2024 is the eligibility cum ranking examination for admission to various MDS courses for 2024-2025 admissions. It is conducted by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).–(ANI)

SKUAST-K Issues Advisory for Farmers and Orchardists Amid Dry Spell

Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNO): Amid ongoing dry spell in the Kashmir valley, the Directorate of Research— Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST) has issued an advisory for orchardists and farmers.

According to the advisory, available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Apple, Almond and Apricot orchardists have been asked to avoid pruning of orchards, saying that it may lead to freezing injury of the cut ends and may activate buds leading to sprouting.

“Avoid irrigation as it may lead to root damage due to freezing & may activate sprouting. Maintain sanitation of orchards. Remove all twigs & fruit from the orchard and bury them deep in soil. Perform bur lapping if not done so far on tree trunks,” the advisory reads.

For field crops like oil seeds, wheat, peas and oats, the advisory has asked for thinning of brown sarsoon crop, use of organic mulch & field sanitations and to install yellow sticky trap 10 mt apart.

Following the isolated reports of vegetable crop damage, the advisory has asked to maintain weed free conditions in all standing crops to avoid competition for moisture.

“Use organic/ inorganic mulch wherever possible. Surface scrapping to facilitate aeration & moisture conservation. Apply shallow irrigation only if needed critically & that too during day,” reads the advisory—(KNO)
