In terms of the UGC Model Guidelines for Re-employment of Superannuated Teachers and for Engaging Professor of Practice in the Universities, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir invites online applications for engagement of a Professor on contract basis in the Department of Environment Sustainability and Climate Change. Interested candidates / experts shall have made remarkable contributions in the areas of (a) Ecology and
Biodiversity (b) Earth Sciences (c) Remote Sensing & GIS (d) Air Pollution (e) Climate Change /Climatology (f) Environmental Chemistry /Atmospheric Physics.

The eligibility / engagement shall be governed by the concerned UGC Guidelines applicable for Re-employment of Superannuated Teachers and for engaging Professor of Practice.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 28-09-2023

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 26-09-2023, 1700 hrs. to 27-09-2023, 1700 hrs. there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 05 HMVs, 16 nomadic flocks and single stretch at Mehar, Cafeteria and Dalwas between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

3. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

*LMVs/HMVs/LOAD CARRIERS;-*

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.

 

*SFs Convoy Movement:-*

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

 

*SSG ROAD*

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road shall be allowed from both sides viz Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0730 hrs. to 1100 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1300 hrs to 1700 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timings.

*SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil, shall leave Srinagar at 0800 hrs. SFs Convoy plying from Drass to Srinagar shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic doesn’t get disturbed.*

 

*Mughal Road:-*

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Mughal road shall be allowed from both sides viz. Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) at 0600 hrs. upto 1800 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut of timings

Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNO): Former chief minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah has convened a meeting of all opposition leaders in Jammu on October 3 to discuss prevailing political situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Former legislator and CPI (M) leader Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that a meeting of leaders of opposition parties in J&K has been convener on October 03 and it will be chaired by Dr Farooq Abdullah.

The meeting will discuss the present situation in J&K, he said, adding that he has sent invitation to all leaders of opposition parties after discussing the about the meeting with Dr Farooq Abdullah.

He said that the meeting will be held at 2:30 pm at Dr Farooq Abdullah’s Jammu residence—(KNO)

Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNO): In a major feat for the Jammu and Kashmir’s Tourism department, Dawar village of Gurez in northern district of Bandipora Wednesday bagged the best tourism village award from the Union Ministry of Tourism.

The award, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), was received by the J&K’s Tourism Secretary Syed Abid Rashid on behalf of J&K government.

“Dawar village bagged the award in golden category from across all villages in the country,” a top official told KNO.

Sources in the tourism department said that the move will help the border tourism further as government has already explored 75 off beat destinations to increase the number of foreign and domestic tourists to J&K.

Pertinently, this year so far. 1.55 Cr tourists including 40,000 foreign guests have visited the UT while the government is eying 2.25 Crore tourists this year—(KNO)

Online Applications are invited from the domicile of UT of J&K for the position of Faculty and Office Assistant at J&K Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institutes Society – Centres (JKBRSETI) on contract basis fulfilling the below mentioned criteria:- Candidates are requested to apply Online through the link given on Bank’s website https://www.jkbank.com

1. Before Applying, Candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as per advertisement.

2. The process of registration is completed only when fee is deposited through On-line mode.

Domicile of J&K-UT.
(i) Candidate at the time of filing on-line application, will submit self-declaration of being domicile in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020 as per format given under annexure-I.

(ii) Selected candidates will have to submit the J&K-UT domicile certificate issued by competent authority, at the time of joining.

Note:
1) Candidates applying against the given vacancy must hold a degree from any University/Institution incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of the Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and the final result should have been declared on or before the day candidate registers online. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before the day candidate registers online has to be submitted at the time of interview. The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute and web based certificate is issued then
proper document/certificate in original issued and signed by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the date of passing properly mentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification and further process.

2) Candidate has to apply for one District only. In case a Candidate registers for more than one District his/her latest application shall be considered.

3) Online examination for the post of Faculty and Office Assistant will be conducted only in English Language.

I. PROCESS FOR ARRIVING AT SCORES:

• The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.
• Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

II. Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

III. Cut Off Score:
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of online written examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.

Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

Online Registration process for the students who are on-rolls in Class 9th for the Academic Session 2023-24 in the Affiliated Academic Institutions/Schools of the UTS of Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh shall be available through JKBOSE official website www.jkbose.nic.in as per the below notified schedule:

Instructions and guidelines:-

The concerned School In-charges shall visit the JKBOSE official website www.jkbose.nic.in for submission of Registration Return Forms. The URL for the same shall be available on the website for submission of R.R Forms through students/school.

Only those on-roll students of class 9th for the Academic Session 2023-24 are eligible for the submission of Registration Returns who shall attain age of Fourteen (14) years plus on the First day of May, 2025 to appear in Secondary School Examination (Class 10th).

The concerned Heads of the Affiliated Academic Institutions shall verify and ensure that all the filled-in particulars are genuine and strictly in accordance to the Admission Records before forwarding these (online) to the JKBOSE.

The particulars of the candidates verified and certified by the concerned Affiliated Academic Institution shall be recorded in the JKBOSE database as final and no further correspondence or claim, whatsoever, shall be accepted at later stage on this score.

Govt High School in Tral faces staff shortage, students suffer

Pulwama, Sep 26 (KNO): A government High School in Tral is facing a staff shortage, affecting students.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in Dodamarg Tral, locals said that the school was upgraded to high school in 2014 but continues to face staff shortage since then.

They said that there are just six teachers to teach over 150 students.

Shabir Ahmad, a local, said the annual result of school has remained average or below average due to staff shortage.

He said that people living in the area are financially weak and can’t afford to send their children to private schools.

“We have brought issues of this school into the notice of higher ups several times to no avail,” they said.

“We have even met the Secretary education department and other officials in this regard who assured us that more teachers will be posted there but nothing has been done as now,” they added.

Chief Education Officer Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi told KNO that the department is on it and the school will get teachers very soon—(KNO)

Candidates who have appeared for the examination can download the answer keys from the official website at jkssb.nic.in.
