School Education Deptt to conduct inspection in all Govt institutions

Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNO): School Education Department has decided to conduct a mandatory inspection of academic activities in all the government institutions particularly with reference to the quality of education.

The concerned officials have been asked to review the findings and submit their recommendations to improve the academic standard in all government run schools of Jammu and Kashmir.

“In order to enhance the academic standard in all the Government Schools of JKUT, it is impressed upon both the directorates to prepare academic inspection schedule of all the supervisory officers that is Director, Joint Director, CEOs, and ZEOs and conduct a detailed inspection of academic activities in all the Educational Institutions particularly with reference to the quality,” the government ordered.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the government has also said that the inspecting or supervisory officers shall submit the findings along-with recommendations to their respective directorates within three days after inspection.

“The directorates shall submit the consolidated report along with findings and recommendations to the Administrative Department in the first week of every month,” it reads.

The government said that any deviation of the instructions given shall be taken seriously and disciplinary action shall be initiated wherever required—(KNO)

Says security agencies reviewing decision to lift traffic advisory along highway

Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNO): The government on Monday said that there will no restrictions on the traffic along National Highway as the vehicles from either side can ply on daily basis from now onwards.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the condition of Srinagar-Jammu highway has improved and from now onwards, the traffic from both the sides will be allowed to ply on daily basis.

“The trucks from both sides will ply towards their destinations on either side,” he said.

Asked about allowing civil traffic during security forces movement, he said that the decision was taken in the aftermath of an attack on CRPF personnel a few years back.

“The decision was taken at a time when there were no dividers in place. Although the situation has improved and the dividers are also in place, the security agencies are reviewing the decision,” he said.

Any decision in this regard will be taken keeping in view the security angle as well as the convenience of common people.

Pertinently, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar had announced that no civil traffic will be stopped on the national highway during VVIP and senior officers’ movement.

He had also advocated additional measures and SoPs for facilitating free flow of traffic without compromising convoy security in a phased manner—(KNO)

JKPSC member resigns after his appointment as CAT member

Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNO): Sanjeev Gupta, former district and session’s judge, has resigned as member of Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission after his appointment as member of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

J&K Government on Monday said that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has accepted the resignation of Sanjeev Gupta, as member of the Public Service Commission.

“In exercise of powers conferred by Clause (2) of the Article 316 of the Constitution of India read with Section

93 of the Jammu and Kashmir Re-organization Act 2019 and S.0. 3937 (E) dated 31 October, 2019, read with Order issued in terms of sub-clause (i) of clause (c) of the Proclamation issued by the President dated 31st October, 2019, the Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to accept the resignation of Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Member, Public Service Commission for the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, w.e.f 05.09.2023,” reads a notification issued by the General Administration Department, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

Gupta was appointed as member of PSC in April this year. He had retired as the Registrar J&K High Court on January 31, 2023. During his distinguished career in the judiciary, which began with his appointment as Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate 1st Class in Gool in 1995, he served in various capacities.

He served as Munsiff Chenani till 1998; promoted as Sub-Judge in 1998 and served at various places viz., Batote, Jammu, Samba and Leh, Ladakh as Sub-Judge (Chief Judicial Magistrate). He was promoted as District and Sessions Judge in the month of May, 2008 and served as Special Judge Anti-Corruption thrice at Jammu and once at Srinagar—(KNO)

Govt Orders Transfer Of Six JKAS Officers

Srinagar, Sept 11(GNS): The government on Monday ordered transfer of six JKAS officers in the interest of administration with immediate effect.
According to a government order, Mudasir Ahmad, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurez, holding additional charge of Sub-Registrar, Gurez, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Parnchayat, Kupwara, against an available vacancy.

Mukhtiar Ahmed Ahanger, JKAS, awaiting orders of adjustment in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurez.

“He shall also hold the additional charge of the post of Sub-Registrar, Gurez, till further orders,” reads the order, a copy of which lies with GNS.
Chander Kant Bhagat, JKAS, DPO, Poonch, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Registrar, Jammu (South), against an available vacancy.

Mushtag Ahmad Bhat, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Baramulla, vice Gulzar Ahmad, JKAS, who has been asked to await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.

Yasmeen Jan, JKAS, Private Secretary in the Information Technology Department, has been transferred and posted as Personnel Officer, Associated Hospitals, Srinagar, vice Shaheena Khan, JKAS, who has been asked to await father orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.

Further Ms. Anju Anand, JKAS, Assistant Settlement Officer, Jammu, shall hold the additional charge of the post of Sub Registrar, R.S. Pura, till further orders, relieving Ms. Seema Parihar, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, R.S. Pura of the additional charge of the post.

Meanwhile, as per a separate order, Rouf Ahmad Lone, Jr. Scale JKAS, Tehsildar, D.H. Pora, has been transferred and posted as Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department.(GNS)

In pursuance of the Notification No.077-BOPEE of 2023 dated 02.09.2023, the Board conducted the Physical round of counseling for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses – 2023 in the Private Colleges/Institutions of the UT of J&K on 06.09.2023 simultaneously at BOPEE offices Jammu/Srinagar.

The list of candidates who have been allotted seats provisionally on the basis of Merit-cum- Preferences is hereby notified as per Annexure-A to this Notification, which shall remain available on the official website of the Board: www.jkbopee.gov.in only. The candidates shall have to report to the respective Colleges allotted to them for completion of admission process w.e.f. 09.09.2023 to 14.09.2023 alongwith following documents in original: –

1. GNM Marks Card of all Semesters/Years.

2. Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation Diploma).

3. 12th Class Marks Card.

4. Domicile Certificate.

5. Any other document as may be required by the College Authorities.
The provisionally selected candidates shall have to mandatorily report for admission to the allotted College/Institutions by or before 14.09.2023 upto 04:00 p.m. along with their relevant certificates in original, failing which they shall not be eligible for further rounds of counseling, if any, conducted by the Board.

The Colleges shall submit the shortfall, if any, on 14.09.2023 upto 05:00 p.m. positively to enable the Board to take further necessary action in the matter.

1. All the Heads of the Institutions/Colleges are requested to keep their admission counters open
on Holidays/Off days to facilitate the candidates to complete their admission process well in time and the candidates should in their own interest, avoid waiting for the last day for completing the admission formalities as the delay in such matters has the potential of causing hardships to the candidates only.

Srinagar, Sept 11 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday asserted that the region experienced positive transformation in the past over 3 years than it had in the previous 75 years.

Addressing at the launch of inaugural edition of JAKFAS journal at Convention Centre Srinagar, Sinha, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that corruption was uprooted to empower the common man in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The system, which functioned on the basis of corruption was demolished. Now common man feels empowered with transparency in the system. Those who looted Jammu and Kashmir were held accountable. J&K Bank, which is now scripting history too had suffered during the previous regimes,” he said.

The LG also said election in Jammu and Kashmir will happen at appropriate time. “Union Home Minister on the floor of the Parliamnet said that election will be held in J&K which will be decided by the Election Commission of India. We are sure that 80 percent of the people will vote and favour the prevailing system in here,” he said.

“Some people have problem with the current system in Jammu and Kashmir. Those who indulged in corrupt practices will not be spared. Everything will be done under law till PM Modi is at the helm of affairs,” Sinha added.

The LG said that Jammu and Kashmir has been getting more funds compared to the rest of the state and that people have realized where that money was going—(KNO)
