JKBOSE Notification: UFM Review Committee Modifies Decisions for Class 11 (HSP-I) Annual Regular 2025 – Jammu Division

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released a notification regarding the decisions made by the UFM Review/Appellate Committee for Class 11 (HSP-I) candidates of Annual Regular 2025 session from both Soft and Hard Zone areas of Jammu Division.

According to the notification, the UFM Review/Appellate Committee, in its meeting held on 15th July 2025, reviewed the decisions made earlier by the UFM Sub-Committee concerning unfair means (UFM) cases. Several decisions have been modified as outlined below:

BOPEE Opens NEET UG 2025 Registration for J&K, Ladakh Candidates — Apply Online by July 22

J&K BOPEE Issues Notification for Online Registration of NEET UG 2025 Candidates from J&K and Ladakh

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has issued Notification No. 076-BOPEE of 2025 for NEET UG 2025 candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This comes following the declaration of NEET UG 2025 results by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Eligibility Criteria:

Only those candidates from UT of J&K and Ladakh who have qualified NEET UG 2025 and scored above the cut-off marks set by the NTA are eligible. The names of eligible candidates are listed in Annexure-A of the notification.

Candidates whose names do not appear in Annexure-A but are eligible may still apply by submitting the necessary documents online.

Important Dates:

  • Online registration period: July 18, 2025 (10:00 AM) to July 22, 2025 (Midnight)
  • Last date for document submission and registration: July 22, 2025

Required Documents for Registration:

  1. NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
  2. NEET UG 2025 Score Card
  3. Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh
    (ST Certificate also required for ST category applicants from Ladakh)
  4. Category Certificate (where applicable)
  5. Matriculation (10th Class) Date of Birth Certificate
  6. Compulsory Service Bond (for Ladakh candidates)

J&K braces for three-day wet spell from Monday

MeT issues yellow, orange alerts, predicts flash floods, landslides at vulnerable places

Srinagar, Jul 19 (KNO): The weather conditions are expected to witness a shift again on Monday as the weatherman here has predicted a three-day wet spell from July 21 to 23 with the Meteorological department (MeT) here issuing yellow and orange alerts again for the region.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the day temperature witnessed a rise once again today with Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recording a maximum temperature of 32.7 degrees.

As per the data, the mercury in Qazigund, a gateway of Kashmir, recorded a maximum temperature of 32.5 degrees while Pahalgam recorded 27.3 degrees.

In Kupwara, the mercury settled at 32.5 degrees followed by 31.4 degrees in Kokernag while Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, recorded a maximum temperature of 22.0 degrees.

Jammu division has also recorded the above normal temperatures today while the weatherman here has predicted hot & humid weather conditions for tomorrow as well with brief spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower at scattered to fairly widespread places.

Director MeT, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad told KNO that generally cloudy weather with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower is expected from July 21 to 23 at many places with intense showers at few places with heavy rain at isolated places of J&K.

From July 24 to 27, he said that there is a possibility of brief showers at scattered places.

Moreover, the MeT has issued an advisory, stating that there is a possibility of intense showers with gusty winds at few places with heavy rain at isolated to scattered places of J&K during 21-23rd July.

“Flash floods at few vulnerable places with landslides, mudslides & shooting stones,” it reads, adding that rise in water level in rivers, streams, local Nallas & water logging in few Low lying areas is also expected.

Meanwhile, the farmers have been advised to spray till tomorrow—(KNO)

JKPSC Rejects Candidature of Three Candidates for Assistant Mining Engineer Post

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued a notice regarding the rejection of candidature for the post of Assistant Mining Engineer in the Department of Mining. The decision follows the scrutiny of applications received against the post advertised under Notification No. 20-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 05.08.2022.

According to the notice dated 18.07.2025, the following candidates have been found ineligible due to not possessing the requisite qualifications:

Appeals Filed

Two of the rejected candidates, Mr. Aasif Ibni Ahad and Mr. Ankit Dhiman, submitted appeals against the decision. The appeal of Mr. Ankit Dhiman was reviewed and subsequently dismissed. JKPSC stated:

“The candidate possesses a degree in Mechanical Engineering, which is not the requisite/prescribed qualification for the post. Hence the appeal of the candidate is devoid of any merit and is accordingly rejected.”

The claim of Mr. Aasif Ibni Ahad is currently under examination and will be addressed separately.

Candidates who feel aggrieved by the decision may further represent their case before the Appellate Authority.

New Delhi, July 19 – The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the release dates for the NEET PG 2025 Exam City Slip and Admit Card. Candidates appearing for the NEET PG 2025 examination must keep a close watch on the official NBEMS portals – natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in – for timely updates.

Chief Secretary J&K to head 13-member panel under SPREAD initiative

Srinagar, July 18 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday constituted a high-level Steering Committee for the SPREAD initiative Sustainable Promotion and Revamping of Emerging Alternate Destinations aimed at strengthening and diversifying tourism prospects in the Union Territory.

According to Government Order a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the committee will be chaired by the Chief Secretary of J&K, while 12 other senior officials have been appointed as members.

The members include Administrative Secretaries of the Jal Shakti, Tourism, Planning and Development, Public Works (R&B), Power Development, Finance, Agriculture Production, Housing & Urban Development, Forest & Ecology, Industries & Commerce, and Rural Development Departments. The Chief Executive Officer of the J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency is also part of the committee, order reads.

The key objectives of the Steering Committee are to provide strategic direction, ensure inter-departmental coordination, monitor the progress of the SPREAD initiative, and facilitate policy approvals and resource allocation for emerging tourist destinations.

The committee will also focus on problem-solving at the highest level and ensure smooth execution of the programme across departments.

As per the order, the Tourism Department will service the committee, which is expected to play a crucial role in boosting local tourism infrastructure while preserving ecological balance in less-explored destinations across J&K. (JKNS)
