KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Srinagar and South Kashmir on February 9, 11, 12, 14 & 16, 2026

Power Shutdown by KPDCL

Srinagar, Feb 7: Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has informed that the Shutdown of 132/33 KV D/C Delina-Sheeri LJHP line will be observed due to which power supply to Short Delina, DIC, New DIC, Old Army, Main Bazar, Ushkara, PHE, Sangri, Microwave, Kanlibagh, GMC, Old Town, Baramulla, Kanil Bagh, Drangbal, Sheeri, Boniyar, Trikanjan, Limber, Nowshera, JNV, Peernia, MES, Uri and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 09 February 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 132 kV ICT-Ckt-I at 200 MVA, 132/33 kv Grid Station Pampore will be observed due to which power supply to Rawalpora, SanatNagar,Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, B&J Bagh-i-mehtab, Rangreth, JAKLI, BEACON, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Lurgam, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral i Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, LIS-I,II,III, K.Koot, Marhama, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Shar Shali, IE Wuyan, IE Khrew, Cement Plants, Pahru, BK Pora, Nowgam Railway Stn. Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 11 AM on 09 February 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Watrehail Tapline will be observed due to which power supply to Watrehail, Samsaan, Parthan, PHE Substation Watrehail and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 12 & 16 February 2026.

Further, shutdown of 33 KV Lassipora-Keegam line will be observed due to which power supply to Pakherpora, Hawl, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora and adjoining areas from 09 AM to 03 PM on 11, 14 & 16 February 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown approved for 33 KV Pampore-Lethpora line earlier scheduled on 08 & 11 February 2026 is hereby rescheduled to 09 & 11 February 2026, besides, shutdown of
33 KV Cheshmashahi TRC Nedous line scheduled on 08 February 2026 has been canceled.

Jammu Summer Zone Schools Announce Uniform Date Sheet for Classes 1–9; Maths Exam Rescheduled to Feb 28, 2026

The Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued a notification announcing a uniform date sheet for the Summative Assessment of students studying in Classes 1st to 9th across all government and private recognized schools of the Summer Zone of Jammu Division.

As per the official notification, the examinations will begin from February 14, 2026, and conclude on February 26, 2026. The move aims to maintain uniformity and streamline the assessment process across schools in the region.

Examination Timing

The examinations will be conducted between 10:00 AM and 01:00 PM, depending on the duration of the paper.

Subject-wise Date Sheet Overview

  • February 14, 2026: Mathematics
  • February 16, 2026: English
  • February 18, 2026: Hindi / Urdu
  • February 19, 2026: Vocational (for Class 9th only)
  • February 20, 2026: Kashmiri / Dogri / Local Language
  • February 24, 2026: Social Science (Classes 6th to 9th)
  • February 26, 2026:
    • EVS (Classes 3rd to 5th)
    • Science (Classes 6th to 9th)

Important Instructions

  • The question papers will be prepared by the concerned schools as per the latest assessment scheme in vogue.
  • Heads of Institutions (HoIs) have been directed to ensure all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of examinations.
  • Schools must complete the evaluation process so that results are declared on or before March 4, 2026.

Mega PTMs and Enrolment Drive

The notification further states that:

  • Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) will be conducted from March 4 to March 11, 2026, across all schools of the Summer Zone in Jammu Division.
  • A Mega Enrolment Drive will also commence from March 4, 2026, to strengthen student enrolment in government schools.

The notification, issued under reference DIP/J-11141, is dated February 05, 2026, and has been signed by the Joint Director (SE), Directorate of School Education Jammu.

Students, parents, and school authorities are advised to follow the schedule strictly and make necessary preparations accordingly.

Important Note:

Mathematics Exam Postponed for Classes 1st to 9th in Jammu Division

The Directorate of School Education, Jammu has postponed the Mathematics examination for students of Classes 1st to 9th in the Jammu Division in view of the upcoming Shivratri festival. The exam, which was earlier scheduled to be held on February 14, 2026, will now take place on February 28, 2026 (Saturday). As per the official notification, the examination timing will remain the same as mentioned in the previously issued date sheet.
