What is CUET (UG)?
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to undergraduate programs in participating universities across India. The test evaluates candidates through a multiple-choice question format across three core areas—language proficiency, domain-specific knowledge, and general aptitude.
CUET (UG) 2025 Exam Structure
Section I is the Language Test, where candidates can choose one language. Section II includes Domain-Specific Subjects, with the option to choose up to five subjects. Section III is the General Test, covering Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge.
The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. There are 37 total subjects (13 Indian languages, 23 domain subjects, and one General Aptitude Test). Candidates may choose up to five subjects irrespective of Class XII subjects, based on their desired university’s criteria. Each test paper has 50 compulsory questions and lasts 60 minutes. The exam will be conducted in multiple shifts. The marking scheme awards 5 marks for every correct answer and deducts 1 mark for every incorrect response.
