JKBOPEE Revised Provisional Merit List Released for DNB Courses 2025 After NBEMS Percentile Reduction

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially issued a fresh update regarding admissions to DNB Courses-2025 for candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. As per the latest official notification, JKBOPEE has released the Revised Provisional Merit List after the reduction of percentile by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences).

This update is extremely important for eligible NEET-PG candidates who applied for DNB seats under JKBOPEE, as the revised merit list changes the cutoff percentile and may increase the number of eligible students considered for counselling.

Notification Details

According to the official notice issued by JKBOPEE:

  • Notification Number: 020-BOPEE of 2026
  • Date: 27-01-2026
  • Subject: Revised Provisional Merit List for DNB Courses-2025 after reduction of percentile by NBEMS

This notification is issued in continuation of Notification No. 010-BOPEE of 2026 dated 15-01-2026, where the Board had invited offline applications from eligible candidates after NBEMS lowered the qualifying percentile.

Why Was the Merit List Revised?

The revised provisional merit list has been prepared due to NBEMS reducing the qualifying percentile, enabling more candidates to become eligible for admission into DNB courses.

JKBOPEE clarified that after this percentile reduction, the Board invited applications from eligible NEET-PG candidates of J&K and Ladakh. Following the scrutiny of these applications, JKBOPEE prepared a Revised Provisional Merit List (Annexure-A).

This list includes candidates whose eligibility is now valid due to the reduced cutoff percentile criteria.

Updated Cutoff Percentile for Eligibility

As per JKBOPEE’s official statement, the cutoff percentile has been reduced as follows:

  • OM/EWS candidates: Cutoff reduced to 7th percentile
  • SC/ST-I/ST-II/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC candidates: Cutoff reduced to 0th percentile

This reduction significantly benefits reserved category candidates and many applicants who were previously not eligible due to higher percentile limits.

What is Included in the Revised Provisional Merit List?

The Revised Provisional Merit List (Annexure-A) contains:

  • Application ID
  • Roll Number
  • Candidate Name
  • Category (OM/SC/ST/RBA etc.)
  • Score
  • NEET Rank
  • UT Score
  • UT Rank

This merit list is provisional, meaning it is subject to verification and correction if objections are raised within the allowed timeframe.

How to Check the Merit List?

Candidates can access and verify their details only through the official JKBOPEE website:

JKBOPEE has advised candidates to check their credentials carefully and ensure there are no discrepancies related to name, category, marks, ranks, or other essential details.

Objection Submission: Important Deadline

JKBOPEE has given candidates an opportunity to raise objections. If a candidate finds any issue in their merit position or information, they must submit objections:

  • Deadline: on or before 29-01-2026
  • Mode: Candidates must physically present before the Board
  • Location: JKBOPEE offices at Jammu/Srinagar
  • Working days only

This is an important point: objections will not be accepted after the due date.

Key Notes Issued by JKBOPEE

JKBOPEE has mentioned several important conditions for all eligible candidates:

  1. The Board will not accept deficient documents through Email or WhatsApp.
  2. The Annexure-A merit list will remain available only on the official JKBOPEE website.
  3. Candidates must remain in regular touch with JKBOPEE website for daily updates and counselling schedule.
  4. All other terms and conditions remain the same as per previously issued e-Information Brochure/Notices/Notifications.

These instructions are crucial for candidates to avoid missing deadlines or submitting documents incorrectly.

What Should Candidates Do Next?

Candidates whose names appear in the revised list should immediately:

  • Check all merit list details carefully
  • Verify category and eligibility
  • Keep original documents ready for counselling
  • Monitor JKBOPEE website daily for:
    • Counselling notifications
    • Seat matrix updates
    • Reporting schedule
    • Allotment lists

Since this merit list has been published after percentile reduction, there is a possibility of higher competition in certain categories, so timely action is essential.

Importance of DNB Courses

DNB (Diplomate of National Board) courses are considered equivalent to MD/MS in India in many aspects and offer strong career opportunities. Admission into DNB programmes through JKBOPEE is an excellent opportunity for NEET-PG candidates in J&K and Ladakh to continue postgraduate medical education.

The release of the JKBOPEE Revised Provisional Merit List for DNB Courses-2025 is a major development for NEET-PG aspirants in J&K/Ladakh. With lowered percentile cutoffs, many additional candidates have now become eligible, making it critical for all applicants to review the list and comply with JKBOPEE instructions.

Candidates are strongly advised not to rely on unofficial sources and follow updates only through the official BOPEE portal.

Jammu–Srinagar National Highway partially opened for traffic, flight operations resume at Sgr Airport

0

Qazigund, Jan 28: The 270 kilometre Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was partially opened for traffic on Wednesday, with authorities working to clear vehicles stranded at multiple locations in Qazigund. The highway was closed on Tuesday following heavy snowfall.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that priority is being given to stranded light motor vehicles (LMVs) at various points in Qazigund to ease congestion and ensure safe passage.

They said snow clearance operations are underway on vulnerable stretches, while salt and urea are being sprinkled at identified spots to prevent skidding and improve road conditions.

The officials added that the highway will be opened in a phased manner, subject to weather conditions and road safety assessments.

Commuters have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and follow official traffic advisories before undertaking their journey.
Meanwhile, flight operations at Srinagar Airport resumed this morning. These were temporarily suspended due to poor visibility caused by snowfall.

“Arrivals and departures to and from the airport are now back on schedule, easing travel for stranded passengers,” officials said adding they have advised travelers to stay in touch with airlines for updates as weather conditions remain unpredictable—(KNO)

Trapped by Snowfall, Doctor Rides Excavator to Reach Shopian Hospital, Performs 10 Surgeries

Trapped by snowfall, doctor rides excavator to reach Shopian hospital to perform surgeries

Srinagar: Braving treacherous weather and waist-deep snow, a doctor posted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday proved that a sense of duty can triumph over even nature’s harshest challenges as he reached his hospital atop an excavator to attend to patients.

Dr. Basharat Pandit, a resident of south Kashmir’s Pulwama and currently staying in Srinagar, is a gynaecologist posted at the district hospital in Shopian.

He set out from home at 7.30 on Tuesday to cover the nearly 55-km journey. While snowfall was light in and around Srinagar, conditions worsened in south Kashmir, where Shopian received three to four feet of fresh snow

After reaching Shopian, his car got stuck, forcing him to walk nearly three km in a desperate bid to reach the hospital.

“It was early morning, and most roads were not cleared. I started walking, but then a JCB (excavator) came along, so I hopped onto that,” Pandit told PTI over the phone.

He said he took the excavator to the hospital and arrived there around 10.30 am.

“It was a sense of responsibility and duty… It was the sense of duty towards my patients, especially the pregnant women, who could otherwise have faced problems,” he said.

Pandit said he had to reach the hospital at any cost to perform procedures on pregnant women.

“Many patients were lined up for procedures, and there were some emergencies as well. Referring the patients to other hospitals in this heavy snow would have created difficulties,” he said.

The doctor said his department performed 10 surgeries during the day, and all the patients were stable. (PTI)

JKSSB Deputy Superintendent Fee Refund 2026: Last Chance to Submit Bank Details (Extension Notice)

0

Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an important extension notice regarding the refund of examination/application fee received from candidates who had applied for the post of Deputy Superintendent in the Directorate of Stationery and Office Supplies, Jammu & Kashmir. The said post was earlier advertised by JKSSB vide Advertisement Notification No. 05 of 2020 dated 24 December 2020 (Item No. 162).

As per the latest notice dated 27 January 2026, JKSSB has clearly informed that the post has been withdrawn, and therefore the board is providing candidates a final opportunity to claim refund of their submitted application/examination fee. This extension notice is especially important for all those applicants who have not yet submitted their bank details for refund processing, as JKSSB has announced that this is the “last and final opportunity” for eligible candidates.

According to the official communication, JKSSB has advised all concerned candidates to furnish their bank account details through the refund link available on the official JKSSB website. The board has also fixed a specific time period for submission of refund-related bank details. The refund link will remain active for only 07 days, starting from 28 January 2026 and will close on 03 February 2026. Candidates must ensure they complete the process within this given window, as the Board has strictly mentioned that no further request regarding the refund will be entertained after the deadline.

The notice has been issued to facilitate candidates who had earlier applied for the Deputy Superintendent post but could not claim their refund. Such candidates are now required to submit correct and active bank details in order to receive the refund amount. It is strongly advised that applicants fill in their information carefully, including account number, IFSC code and other banking details, because any incorrect information may lead to delay or failure in receiving the refund.

JKSSB has shared the refund submission link in the notice. Candidates can access it directly and complete the process online. The link mentioned for submission is:
https://jkssb.nic.in/dynamic-jkssb-test/pages/oldpostrefund.aspx

The board has highlighted that the link is provided through the official website only, and candidates should avoid any unofficial sources to prevent mistakes or fraud. The refund process is completely online, and candidates do not need to visit any JKSSB office physically for this purpose.

This notice is crucial because many candidates often miss earlier deadlines due to lack of information, technical issues or non-awareness of the refund process. With this extension, JKSSB has provided an additional chance, but at the same time has made it clear that this will be the final extension. Therefore, all eligible candidates are advised to take immediate action and submit their bank details as soon as possible.

It is also recommended that candidates keep a screenshot or printout of the submitted form details as proof. In case of any issues, candidates may later contact JKSSB helpdesk or relevant department with proper submission evidence. However, candidates must not wait for the last day because heavy traffic on the website could lead to technical difficulties.

In conclusion, the JKSSB refund extension notice is a major update for candidates who applied for the Deputy Superintendent post advertised in 2020. Applicants should complete the refund claim process between 28 January 2026 and 03 February 2026 without fail. Any candidate who fails to submit their details during this period may permanently lose the chance to get refund of their application fee.

The university has clearly stated that the interaction date for candidates will be notified separately, which indicates that candidates must stay updated through the official website.

Qualified vs Not Qualified: What It Means for Candidates

If Your Remark Shows “Qualified”

If your status is shown as Qualified, it means:

  • You have cleared the written entrance examination
  • You are eligible to appear for the next stage (DRC interaction)
  • You should begin preparing your research proposal and documents

Qualified candidates should regularly check for updates regarding:

  • DRC interaction date
  • Venue and reporting time
  • Documents required
  • Further admission rules

If Your Remark Shows “Not Qualified”

If your result is listed as Not Qualified, it means:

  • You did not meet the required merit/qualifying conditions in the written test
  • You may not be eligible for DRC interaction (unless any exemption category is applicable)

Such candidates can still keep checking notifications for future opportunities, reappearance guidelines, or upcoming admissions.

Important Note on DRC Interaction (To Be Notified Separately)

One of the most important points mentioned by Cluster University Srinagar in the notice is regarding the next stage of admission: interaction with the Departmental Research Committee (DRC).

The notice states that the date of interaction with DRC for qualified and exempted candidates shall be notified separately.

This indicates that the written merit list is not the final admission list—rather it is the qualifying step towards interviews/interactions.

Candidates are advised to keep ready:

  • Academic certificates and marks sheets
  • Domicile/category certificates (if applicable)
  • Research synopsis/proposal
  • Identity proof
  • Any other documents required by the department

Why This Merit List is Important for Ph.D Aspirants

For Ph.D aspirants, merit lists are more than just results—they determine:

  • Eligibility for the interview stage
  • Shortlisting for departmental screening
  • Early planning of research area and supervisor preferences
  • Preparation for document verification

Candidates who are qualified should treat this as the most important phase of the admission process and should begin preparing for the DRC interaction immediately.

JKPSC Deficiency Notice 2026: Lecturer Commerce Document Deficiency List Released – Check Details, Candidate List & Submission Deadline

0

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued an important Deficiency Notice related to the filling up of the post of Lecturer Commerce in the School Education Department. This notice is crucial for candidates who have been provisionally qualified for viva-voce but whose documents were found deficient during scrutiny.

As per the official notice, JKPSC has asked the listed candidates to submit the missing/deficient documents within a fixed timeline, failing which their candidature may be rejected without any further notice. Candidates preparing for JKPSC selections should treat such notices as high priority because document verification is a decisive step in final selection.

This article explains the complete details of the JKPSC deficiency notice, highlights key recruitment background, and shares what candidates must do next.

JKPSC Lecturer Commerce Recruitment: Background of the Notice

According to the official JKPSC notice dated 27.01.2026, the School Education Department referred 10 posts of Lecturer Commerce to JKPSC for selection. The category-wise breakup mentioned is:

  • OM: 04
  • RBA: 01
  • SC: 01
  • ST-1: 01
  • ST-II: 01
  • OBC: 01
  • EWS: 01

These posts were advertised by JKPSC through Notification No. 07-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated 09.12.2024.

Following this, JKPSC conducted the written test on 05.10.2025. The result was later declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2026/02 dated 16.01.2026, in which 43 candidates were declared provisionally qualified for the written examination and called for viva-voce.

However, after scrutiny of documents, JKPSC found some candidates deficient with respect to required documents.

(These details are clearly mentioned in the official notice on page 1 of the PDF.)

Why JKPSC Issues Deficiency Notices?

A deficiency notice is released when:

  • a candidate has qualified a stage (like written test),
  • but during verification, documents are missing, invalid, outdated, or not in the required format.

In JKPSC recruitments, documents such as:

  • Date of Birth certificate (Matriculation),
  • Category certificate (as per UT reservation rules),
  • Domicile certificate signed by competent authority,
  • PG degree/marks sheets,
  • EWS certificate

are frequently checked. Even a small mismatch (wrong format, missing signature, unclear scan) can lead to a deficiency.

That is why candidates should always keep their documents ready well in advance.

JKPSC Lecturer Commerce Deficiency List: Names, Roll Numbers & Missing Documents

JKPSC has published a list of candidates whose documents are deficient. As per the notice (page 1 and page 2), deficiencies include:

Common deficiencies reported

  • Date of Birth certificate (Matriculation) missing
  • Category certificate not as per prescribed format under Reservation Rules of J&K UT
  • Domicile certificate not duly signed by competent authority
  • PG Degree certificate / PG Marks sheet missing
  • Valid EWS certificate missing

This document deficiency list includes 10 candidates, along with roll numbers and exact deficiency details.

Deadline to Submit Deficient Documents

JKPSC has directed the listed candidates to submit their deficient documents:

Within 07 (seven) days from the date of issuance of the notice
📍 Submission location: Office of J&K Public Service Commission, Solina, Srinagar / Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu

The notice clearly states that if candidates fail to submit the required documents within the deadline, their candidature shall be rejected without any further notice.

Important Instructions for Candidates

If your name appears in the deficiency list, follow these steps immediately:

1) Download the official notice PDF

Always rely on the official notice to confirm what is missing.

2) Arrange the exact document as demanded

For example:

  • If DOB certificate is required → submit Matriculation certificate
  • If category certificate is required → ensure it is in UT format as per reservation rules
  • Domicile certificate → must be properly signed by competent authority
  • EWS certificate → must be valid

3) Visit JKPSC Office without delay

Do not wait for the last day because:

  • Offices may be crowded
  • Verification can take time
  • You may need additional attestation/corrections

4) Keep extra photocopies

Carry multiple sets of photocopies and originals for safety.

5) Maintain proof of submission

Ask for acknowledgement/receipt if possible.

What Happens After Document Submission?

Once the deficient documents are submitted successfully:

  • JKPSC will update the candidate’s document status
  • Eligible candidates will continue in the selection process
  • Viva-voce/interview may proceed as per schedule

Candidates should also keep checking JKPSC updates because interview schedules are often released after such deficiency notices.

Why This Notice Matters for Selection

Candidates often focus heavily on written exam performance, but in JKPSC recruitment, final selection depends on completing every requirement, including:

  • eligibility conditions,
  • correct certificates,
  • valid domicile/reservation proof,
  • educational qualification documents.

Even one missing document can lead to rejection, regardless of merit—this is why deficiency notices are taken seriously.

The JKPSC Deficiency Notice (Lecturer Commerce) dated 27 January 2026 is a vital update for candidates who have qualified the written test and are moving toward the viva-voce stage. If your name appears in the deficiency list, you must submit the required documents within 7 days to avoid rejection of candidature.

Candidates are advised to act quickly, submit documents at the JKPSC office as instructed, and regularly monitor the official portal for further updates.
