NVS Vacancy 2024: Salary Details

  • Candidates selected for PGT posts at normal stations will receive a salary of ₹ 35,750 per month, while those selected for hard stations will receive ₹ 42,250.
  • Candidates selected for TGT posts at normal stations will receive a salary of ₹ 34,125, and for hard stations, they will receive ₹ 40,625.

Document verification and interview

Candidates will undergo document verification and personal interviews, which will be conducted in person, not online.

Venue and call letter

Eligible candidates will be called for document verification and personal interviews at various venues in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, based on their subjects. The call letter will be sent via email by the Principal of the respective Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) venue.

Required documents

Candidates are required to bring a printed and self-attested copy of their application form to the document verification venue. They should also carry self-attested photocopies of all necessary documents, including mark lists, experience certificates, and awards, along with the originals.

UGC Chief Announces Direct PhD Eligibility for Four-Year UG Degree Holders

UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar informed that the candidates will require a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent scores in their UG course to pursue PhD.

Students with four-year undergraduate degrees can now directly appear for NET and pursue a PhD, according to University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Jagadesh Kumar.

To pursue a PhD with or without a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the candidates will require a minimum of 75 percent marks or equivalent grades in their four-year undergraduate course.

So far, a candidate for the National Eligibility Test (NET) needed a master’s degree with a minimum of 55 percent marks.

“The candidates with four-year undergraduate degrees can now directly pursue PhD and appear for NET. Such candidates are allowed to appear in a subject in which they want to pursue a PhD irrespective of the discipline in which they have obtained the four-year bachelor’s degree,” Kumar told PTI.

“The candidates having passed a four-year or eight-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75 pc marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed,” the UGC chairman said.

A relaxation of five percent marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), differently-abled, economically weaker sections, and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time, he added.

CUET UG 2024 Date sheet Download Schedule, exam dates, timetable

National Testing Agency, NTA has released CUET UG 2024 Schedule. Candidates who will appear for Common University Entrance Test can check the datesheet through the official website of NTA at exams.nta.ac.in.

The CUET UG 2024 examination will be conducted from May 15 to May 24, 2024. The NTA will conduct the CUET (UG) – 2024 in Hybrid mode (CBT and Pen & Paper) Mode for about 13.48 lacs candidates at various Examination Centers located in 380 cities including 26 cities outside India.

There are 63 test papers being offered in the CUET (UG) – 2024. The duration of the test will be 45 minutes duration except in subjects i.e., Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, and General Test, the duration of the test will be 60 minutes. There will be four shifts -Shift 1A will be conducted from 10 am to 11 am, shift 1B from 12.15 pm to 1 pm, shift 2A will be held from 3 pm to 3.45 pm and shift 2B will be conducted from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Other papers will be conducted in three shifts- shift 1 from 9 am to 11.15 am, shift 2 from 1.15 pm to 2.45 pm and shift 3 from 4.45 pm to 6.15 pm.

This year, CUET UG 2024 has witnessed more than 1.35 million candidates registration. Of them, 717,000 are male, and 630,000 are female, and seven have registered as the third gender. Each candidate can register for up to six subjects. As many as 261 universities are participating in the test this year.

As per the official data, English has seen the highest registration with over a million candidates, followed by general test (830,000), chemistry (700,000), physics (680,000), mathematics (490,000), biology (390,000), economics (214,000), Hindi (200,000), business studies (190,000), accountancy (180,000), political science (161,000) and history (137,000). Maulana Azad National Urdu University Announces Admissions for 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) Through NCET-2024

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a central government university under the Ministry of Education, has announced admissions for the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) through NCET-2024. The admission is open to students who have passed the NCET-2024 and are eligible for admission to the four-year integrated teacher education programme (ITEP).

MAUU is offering the following ITEP courses for the academic session 2024-25:

  • B.A. B.Ed. (Secondary) – 1 Unit (50 Seats)
  • B.Sc. B.Ed. (Secondary) – 1 Unit (50 Seats)
  • B.Com. B.Ed. (Secondary) – 1 Unit (50 Seats)

Admission to the program will be based on the scores obtained in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 19-04-2024, 1700 hrs. to 20-04-2024, 1700 hrs., Jammu-Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 15 hrs. 14 mins. due to landslides/mudslides/shooting stones at many places. Slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to nomadic flocks, single lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. and poor surface condition of road at many places between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-

Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal. 3. Load carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police

Headquarters time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. on Jammu Srinagar NHW. 4. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

5. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 21-04-2024:- Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. However, HMVs shall be managed on regulated manner after assessing the road condition.

Cut off timing for LMVs in view of single road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather etc:- (subject to change depending on road condition) from Nagrota (Jammu) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0700 hrs to 1400 hrs & from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

SFs Convoy Movement:-

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view

of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and

Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from Jammu towards

Srinagar after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is still closed.

SSG ROAD

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road is closed due to multiple avalanches trigged across Zojila and fresh snowfall.

Mughal Road:-

Mughal road is still closed.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-

Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still blocked due to snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake journey on NH-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
