Central University of Kashmir Admission 2024 Eligibility, Last Date, Apply online

Srinagar, 1st January 2024(KSA): Central University of Kashmir has invited online applications for admission to various postgraduate programs through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) 2024 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The university is offering admissions to 17 postgraduate programs including M.Tech Computer Science, M.A. English, M.Com, M.A. Economics, LLM, M.Ed, M.A. Mass Communication & Journalism, M.Sc. Botany, M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Zoology, M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Physics and others.

NTA CUET PG 2024, Registration Starts, Key Dates and Application Process

Important Dates:

  1. Online submission of application form: 26th December 2023 to 24th January 2024.
    Last date for fee payment: 25th January 2024.
  2. Correction in application form: 27th January to 29th January 2024
  3. Downloading admit card: 4th March 2024.
  4. Exam date: 11th March 2024
    Answer key challenge: 11th March to 28th March 2024
  5. Result declaration: 4th April 2024

Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria like educational qualification, percentage required etc. for each program is provided on the university website www.cukashmir.ac.in.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates can apply online through the website https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in from 26th December 2023 to 24th January 2024. Application fee can be paid online through credit/debit card, net banking or UPI.

Admit Card:
Admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA website from 4th March 2024 onwards.

Exam Centers:
The examination will be conducted in various centers across the country. Centers will be allotted by NTA.

Met Predicts fresh weather Advisory in J&K  from 1st-5th January

Srinagar, Jan 1: Severe cold conditions continued to grip Jammu and Kashmir with summer capital of the Valley recording a low of minus 5.2°C on the first day of the new year on Monday.

A meteorological department official here told GNS that the minimum temperature in Srinagar recorded a low of minus 5.2°C against minus 3.4°C on the previous night and it was 3.1°C below normal for the summer capital of J&K for this time of the year.

Qazigund recorded a minimum of minus 3.6°C against minus 2.6°C on the previous night, he said. The minimum temperature was 0.7°C below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, the MeT official said.

Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 5.7°C against minus 3.4°C on the previous night and it was 0.9°C above normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.

Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of minus 1.7°C against minus 1.4°C on the previous night and the temperature was above normal by 1.8°C for the place, the official said.

Kupwara town in north Kashmir recorded a low of minus 4.5°C against minus 3.8°C on the previous night and it was 2.0°C below normal there, the official said.

Gulmarg, the official said, recorded a low of minus 3.4°C against minus 3.5°C on the previous night and the temperature was 3.5°C above normal for the world famous skiing resort in north Kashmir.

Jammu, he said, recorded a minimum of 7.3°C against 8.3°C on previous night, and it was above normal by 0.0°C for the winter capital of J&K.

It is followed by a 20-day-long period called ‘Chillai-Khurd’ that occurs between January 30 and February 19 and a 10-day-long period ‘Chillai-Bachha’ (baby cold) which is from February 20 to March 1.

Transfers and Postings of JKAS Officers in Jammu & Kashmir Government

Srinagar, 31 Dec(KB): The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered wideranging transfers and postings of various administrative officers across the state.

As per Government Order No.1695-JK(GAD) issued by the General Administration Department, several IAS and JKAS officers have been transferred to new positions in an administrative reshuffle.

Mr. Owais Mushtaq, JKAS, who was serving as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Pulwama district, has now been transferred and appointed as Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD) in Kupwara district against an available vacancy.

Mr. Mohammad Ashraf, JKAS, who held the position of General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Kishtwar, will now take over as the new Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Marwah against an existing vacancy. He will also hold additional charge as Sub-Registrar, Marwah and will continue to hold the post of GM, DIC Kishtwar.

Mr. Nagesh Singh, JKAS, who was awaiting posting, has now been appointed as the new Deputy District Election Officer in Kathua district. He will replace Mr. Hamidullah Mir, JKAS, who was the previous Deputy DEO Kathua and has now been transferred as the new Deputy DEO Kupwara.

In Udhampur district, Mr. Salam Din, JKAS, the current District Mineral Officer, will now also hold additional charge as Collector, Land Acquisition (Defence) in addition to his other duties.

Srinagar Dec 31 (KSA); The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has recently issued a notification outlining the process for eligible candidates to obtain photo-stat copies of their answer scripts and apply for re-evaluation for Secondary School Examination (Class 10th), Higher Secondary Part-1 (Class 11th), and Higher Secondary Part-II (Class 12th) for the Annual(Bi-annual) 2023 Session.

Online Application Process:

Starting from January 2, 2024, candidates can submit their applications through the JKBOSE official website (www.jkbose.nic.in). The last date for applying for a photo copy of answer scripts is January 11, 2024, with the last schedule for collecting copies scheduled for January 13, 2024. For re-evaluation, the deadline is January 16, 2024.

JKBOSE 10th Syllabus 2024

Applicants are required to deposit the prescribed fees through online modes such as Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, etc. The fee for re-evaluation is Rs.495 per answer script, while obtaining a photo-stat copy costs Rs.255 per answer script.

Eligibility for Re-evaluation:

As per standing regulations, only candidates securing 20% or more marks in the concerned subject are eligible to apply for re-evaluation.

Collection of Copies:

Candidates need to strictly adhere to the schedule for collecting their photo-stat copies from the specified Secrecy Sections of JKBOSE Head Office at BOSE Campus Bemina, Srinagar, and Rehari Colony, Jammu. Proof of fee deposition must be presented during collection.

Important Instructions:

– Students are advised to regularly check the JKBOSE website for updates regarding the schedule for obtaining photo-stat copies after applying.

– Notice for collection of copies will be uploaded on the BOSE website in phases, and students must follow the schedule.

– In case a roll number is missing in the last uploaded schedule, candidates must report it the following day along with the receipt proof via email.
