Speaking to news agency JKNS, Secretary JKBOSE Ghulam Hassan Sheikh confirmed that, “The results are complete and it will be declared by or before 10 PM today.”

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is fully prepared to announce the results of the Class 11th examinations by 10 PM tonight, bringing an end to the long wait of thousands of students. Confirming the development, Secretary JKBOSE, G H Sheikh, stated in an exclusive conversation with Greater Kashmir that the result compilation process is complete. He urged students to stay alert as the official announcement will certainly be made by the promised time. This declaration comes as a significant update for both students and parents, who have been anxiously awaiting the outcome of the examinations. The timely release of the results reflects the Board’s commitment to maintaining academic schedules and ensuring transparency in the evaluation process.

As per official data, a total of 1,20,673 students appeared in the Class 11th examinations across the Union Territory, with 1,09,137 students from soft zones and 11,536 from hard zones. The exams were conducted in 1,134 centres, including 1,004 centres in soft zones and 130 in hard zone areas, highlighting the logistical efforts made by JKBOSE to ensure smooth conduct of the exams. With such a vast number of students involved, tonight’s result declaration will be a major academic milestone in the region. Students are advised to regularly check the official JKBOSE website and stay connected with local media sources for real-time updates once the results go live.

.”The result is complete and all the concerned students must remain informed that the result of class 11th examination will definitely declared tonight by 10 pm,” he told Greater Kashmir.

Relief from Heatwave Expected as Rain, Gusty Winds Forecast Across J&K: Director MeT

Srinagar, May 24 (JKNS): Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness a significant change in the prevailing weather pattern from today, offering relief from the ongoing spell of intense heat and dry conditions.

Director MET Dr Mukhtar Ahmad as per news agency JKNS said that on May 24, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with intermittent brief spells of rain and thundershowers across many areas of Kashmir division and scattered places in Jammu division. A few places may also experience gusty winds and intense showers.

From May 25 to 26, weather conditions are forecasted to be generally hot and dry. However, there is a chance of a brief spell of light rain at isolated places, mainly during the late afternoon hours.

Between May 27 and 31, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are expected at scattered to many places across the Union Territory. Some of these events may be accompanied by intense showers and gusty winds.

According to the advisory issued by the MET Centre Srinagar, there will be a respite from the ongoing heatwave, with maximum temperatures expected to fall by 2–3°C at many locations starting today. The advisory also mentions the possibility of thunder and gusty winds at a few locations over the coming days.

Residents have been advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and prepare for temporary weather disturbances. The forecast is a welcome development for the region which has been reeling under prolonged dry and hot conditions.—(JKNS)

Jammu records slight improvement

Srinagar, May 23 (KNO): The intense heatwave continued across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, with all the stations across the valley recording above normal temperatures.

According to the details shared by the Meteorological (MeT) Department with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a maximum temperature of 33.2 degrees Celsius, which was 7.8 degrees Celsius above normal.

The details reveal that Qazigund, a gateway of Kashmir, has recorded a day temperature of 32.5 degrees Celsius while Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded 32.4 degrees Celsius.

In Pahalgam, a famous tourist resort, the mercury settled at 28.8 degrees Celsius while Kokernag recorded 31.5 degrees Celsius. Gulmarg, a famous ski resort, has recorded a maximum temperature of 24.0 degrees Celsius.

Further, the Jammu division witnessed a slight improvement on Friday with Jammu City recording a day temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius.

Banihal, Batote, Katra and Bhaderwah recorded a maximum temperature of 29.2, 27.7, 35.2 and 31.4 degreess Celsius, respectively.

Meanwhile, Director MeT, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad has predicted an isolated heat wave in J&K, saying that generally hot & dry weather is expected with the possibility of a brief spell of light rain at isolated places mainly towards late afternoon till May 26.

Ahmad said that from May 27 to 31, the weather would remain generally hot & dry with the possibility of a brief spell of light rain and thundershower at scattered places.

The MeT in its advisory said that a rise in maximum temperature by 1-2 degreess Celsius is expected with the possibility of a heatwave at scattered places of Kashmir division till May 23 and fall by 2 to 3 degreess Celsius thereafter.

A rise in maximum temperature is expected by 2-3 degreess Celsius, with the possibility of a heatwave over Jammu division till May 26. “Possibility of thunder, gusty winds at isolated places towards late afternoon can’t be ruled out,” according to the advisory—(KNO)
