JEE Main 2025 Session 2: BTech & BE Exams Scheduled from April 2-8 – Important Details

JEE Main 2025 Session 2: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct JEE Main 2025 Session 2 from April 2 to April 9. The BTech and BE papers will take place on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, while the BArch and BPlanning papers (Paper 2A and Paper 2B) will be held on April 9.

The admit cards for exams scheduled until April 4 have already been released. Hall tickets for exams on April 7, 8, and 9 will be issued soon.

Exam Day Guidelines

  • Students must arrive at the exam center at least two hours before the exam to complete biometric verification.
  • They should check the dress code, exam instructions, and other important guidelines before arriving at the center.
  • Candidates must carry the same photo ID they uploaded in the online application form and as mentioned on the admit card.
  • Instructions on the admit card should be carefully read and strictly followed.

Important Instructions For Candidates

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must reach the examination center two hours before the exam begins.
  • Seating Arrangement: Candidates must occupy their assigned seats immediately after the exam hall opens.

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Hall

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items into the examination hall:

  • Stationery Items: Geometry boxes, pencil boxes, paper, books, or any printed/written materials.
  • Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, smartwatches, cameras, tape recorders, or any device with a calculator function.
  • Bags & Personal Items: Handbags, purses, metallic items.
  • Food & Beverages: Eatables and water (loose or packed).

Documents Required On Exam Day

Candidates must bring the following documents to the test center. Without these, entry will not be allowed:

  • A printed copy of the admit card along with the self-declaration (undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (printed on A4-size paper).
  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the online application), to be pasted on the attendance sheet.

A valid, original, and non-expired photo ID, such as:

  • School identity card
  • PAN card
  • Driving license
  • Voter ID

CBSE New Syllabus: The BSE has also revised the grading criteria for both Class 10 and 12 board exams, now utilising a 9-point grading system, where marks will be converted into grades.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced significant changes to its syllabus for Classes 10 and 12, aimed at enhancing the academic framework and expanding skill-based learning opportunities.

For Class 10 students, the board now mandates the selection of one out of three skill-based subjects: Computer Applications, Information Technology, or Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, students must choose either English or Hindi as one of their language subjects, which they can take in either Class 9 or 10.

In a notable shift, if a student fails in core subjects like Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or a language, they can substitute it with a passed skill subject or an optional language subject for final result calculation.

Class 12 students will also see new additions to their curriculum. Four new skill-based electives have been introduced: Land Transportation Associate, Electronics and Hardware, Physical Activity Trainer, and Design Thinking and Innovation. This revamp aims to align with the growing emphasis on practical and vocational skills.

The revised Class 12 syllabus now covers seven major learning areas: Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, Skill Subjects, General Studies, and Health & Physical Education. Along with the syllabus update, CBSE has also revised the grading criteria for both Class 10 and 12 board exams, now utilising a 9-point grading system, where marks will be converted into grades.

In terms of exam, Class 10 students will now appear for board exams twice a year, with one in February and another in April, starting from the current academic year. Class 12 exams, however, will continue to be held annually, with the 2026 exams set to begin on February 17.

Traffic Advisory and Plan for Jammu-Srinagar NHW and Other Routes

Issued by Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, Jammu/Srinagar

Traffic Update (30-03-2025, 1700 hrs. to 31-03-2025, 1700 hrs.)

During the mentioned period, slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to multiple factors, including breakdown of Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs), single-lane traffic at Dalwas, Peeda, Mehad, and between Marog and Kishtwari Pather. Additionally, ongoing four-lane construction work contributed to traffic congestion.

Diversion Plan for LMVs (Passenger)

All down LMVs (Passenger) traveling from Srinagar to Jammu will be diverted from Ramban Bazaar via Bailey Bridge (Jhulla Bridge), Maitra Road, Karol U-turn, and Chanderkote.

Advisory for Commuters

  • Passengers and LMV operators are advised to travel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during the daytime due to potential shooting stone incidents between Ramban and Banihal.
  • Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) operators transporting fresh perishable items or livestock should adhere to advisories issued by the Traffic Police Headquarters, given the single-lane traffic and poor road conditions at Dalwas, Mehad, and between Marog and Kishtwari Pather.
  • HMV operators/owners should avoid overloading, ensure vehicle fitness, and carry sufficient fuel before commencing travel on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
  • Only HMVs with six and ten tires will be allowed to ply through Dhar Road.
  • Commuters should avoid unnecessary stops between Ramban and Banihal, particularly in landslide-prone and shooting stone areas.

Traffic Plan & Advisory for 01-04-2025

Subject to fair weather and improved road conditions:

  • LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) will be permitted from both directions on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) – from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.
  • HMVs (Load carriers) will be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar only after assessing the road condition. TCU Jammu and Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban for updates.
  • Commuters should verify NH-44 status on the J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page before traveling.

SFs Convoy Movement

Security Forces are advised to follow the prescribed traffic plan to prevent congestion, as the road between Nashree and Banihal is narrow. SF convoys may proceed from Jammu to Srinagar after confirming NHW status from TCU Ramban.

  • Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244: Closed per advisory issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kokernag (Endstt. No. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45 dated 16-01-2025).

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) final results for 2024 for the 219 candidates whose results were withheld. Candidates can check their results on the official website, ssc.gov.in.

The SSC CGL results 2024 were announced on March 12 for 1,267 candidates. However, the results were held back by several candidates due to various reasons.

In the latest notice, SSC stated, “The final result of 219 candidates out of the 1,267 withheld candidates has now been declared by the Commission, as per the Additional List uploaded on the Commission’s website.

The final result status of the remaining candidates is still withheld for further scrutiny.”

Srinagar, Mar 31 (KNS): The auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm across Jammu and Kashmir with thousands of worshipers gathered for congregational Eid prayers.

The Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar witnessed the largest congregation. Big gatherings were also witnessed at Khanqah-e-Maula, Alamdar’s shrine in Chrari Sharief besides various Eidgahs and Imambargahs in different districts.

The revered Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar was a sight to behold as worshipers, dressed in traditional attire, flocked to the premises from early morning, united in prayer and seeking blessings on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Similarly, Chrari Sharief in Budgam and other Eidgahs throughout Jammu and Kashmir echoed with the resounding prayers of the faithful, with people from diverse backgrounds coming together to celebrate the auspicious occasion.

According KNS Correspondent Moulana Rehmatullah Qasimi, the Patron of Darul Uloom Raheemiya Bandipora, led the Eid prayers there at 6:30 AM. Following the prayers, around 900 people who had performed the ten-day Itikaf returned to their respective homes.

Local authorities and the administration have made meticulous arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of prayers and to ensure the comfort and safety of the worshipers. Adequate security measures have been implemented to maintain a peaceful environment.(KNS)

SSC CGL 2024: Final Results Out for 219 Withheld Candidates – What’s Next?

SSC CGL Result 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the final result of 219 candidates whose results were previously withheld for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024.

The commission had declared the SSC CGL 2024 final result on March 12, stating that the results of 1,267 candidates were withheld.

“The final result of 219 candidates out of the 1,267 withheld candidates has now been declared by the Commission, as per the Additional List uploaded on the Commission’s website. The final result status of the remaining candidates is still withheld for further scrutiny,” SSC stated in its latest notice.

All other provisions mentioned in the March 12 notification regarding the CGL results will remain unchanged, it added.

Earlier this month, the commission had released the CGL final result, answer keys, response sheets, and scorecards for the Tier 2 exam.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had provisionally recommended 18,174 candidates for appointment based on their merit and the post preferences they submitted, as per the result document.

These candidates will now proceed to the document verification stage, which will be conducted by the respective user departments.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 results were declared on December 5, 2024, while the Tier 2 exam was conducted in computer-based mode on January 18, 19, 20, and 31.

In the result notice, SSC confirmed that no reserve or waiting list would be maintained for CGL 2024 and that any unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to future recruitment cycles.

Additionally, SSC stated that the dossiers of successful candidates will be generated electronically and made available through the e-dossier module on its official website.
