ACB searches multiple locations in Kashmir in bank fraud case

Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNO): The economic offences wing of Jammu Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau Tuesday carried out searches at four different locations in Srinagar, Budgam and Bandipora districts in connection with a bank fraud case.

In a statement, issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said that a case FIR No 05/2025 was registered at police station ACB, Srinagar for embezzlement committed and conspired by revenue and bank officials along with the borrower.

The statement reads that the case is being investigated by the economic offence wing the ACB and in the connection searches in the residences and bank premises of the accused persons were carried out today.

“During searches various electronic gadgets and other incriminating documents were seized. Further investigation of the case is in progress,” it reads—(KNO)

Govt working on strengthening existing 4000 health institutions: Sakeena Itoo

Jammu, Mar 25 (GNS): Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, today informed the House that the government is working on strengthening the 4000 existing health institutions at various levels as per IPHS norms 2022 in order to provide robust medical care facilities to the people.

The Minister said this while replying to a question raised by Muzaffar Iqbal Khan.

She said that PHC Thanamandi was upgraded to CHC in the year 1999 with existing sanctioned staff strength. She added that, at present, against 03 sanctioned posts of Doctors, 02 are posted and against 21 Paramedic staff, 16 are posted at CHC Thanamandi. She informed that the issue regarding creation of posts shall be taken up with the Finance Department.

The Minister further informed the house that in various health institutions of medical blocks Darhal and Manjkote like CHC Darhal, PHC Lah, PHC Thanamandi, PHC Shahdhara Sharief, PHC Manjakote, PHC Ghambir Mughlan, PHC Kallar Chatyar and PHC Bagla Ndyala, against 35 sanctioned posts, 19 are in position and 16 are vacant.

She also informed that under NHM, against six sanctioned posts, five are vacant.

The Minister further said that the common masses, seeking medical attention, are also being facilitated through rationalization and developing a robust e-sanjeevani/tele-medicine through a well designed hub and spoke model.(GNS)

Along with the prelims results, SBI will also release the mains exam call letters for qualifying candidates.

The official website reads, “Tentative date of Main Exam is 10.04.2025. Preliminary exam result will be released shortly. Call Letters for successful candidates in Preliminary exam will be issued along with Preliminary Exam result.”

It may be mentioned here that the preliminary examination was conducted on February 22, 27, 28, and March 1, 2025. The exam consisted of 100 marks and the total duration was one hour.

The question paper consisted of three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. There was also negative marking, meaning, one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question was deducted for every wrong answer.

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced tentative dates for the recruitment examination of Paramedical Staff. As per the schedule, the computer-based test will be held from April 28 to 30, 2025.

RRBs said that the link to download the exam city slip and travel authority (for SC and ST candidates only) will be made live 10 days before the exam date.

E-call letters or admit cards will be issued four days prior to the exam date mentioned in the exam city intimation link, they added.

RRBs said that candidates’ biometric authentication will be done in the exam centre prior to entry inside the exam hall. Therefore, candidates are required to bring their original Aadhaar cards or printout of e-verified Aadhaar on the exam day.

“Candidates are advised to authenticate their identification through Aadhaar verification, if not done already, by logging in with their credentials at www.rrbapply.gov.in to facilitate smooth entry into the examination centre. Candidates, including those, who have verified their Aadhaar during the application submission stage, are requested in their own interest to ensure that their Aadhaar remains in unlocked condition in the UIDAI system before coming to exam centre to avoid inconvenience and facilitate registration and exam-related processes on the exam day,” RRBs said in the notification.
