ITBP SI, Constable Recruitment 2024: The Indo-Tibetan Boarder Police Force (ITBPF) will begin the online registration process for Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Constable (Telecommunication) vacancies today, November 15. Eligible and interested can apply for the 526 vacancies on the official website of ITBPF, recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

The application window for ITBP SI and Constable (Telecommunication) recruitment, 2024 will close on December 14.

Jammu & Kashmir Government Announces Major Reshuffle in Police Department

14 November 2024, Jammu/Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a significant reshuffling of police officers across the Union Territory. In a move aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, the Home Department issued Government Order No. 515-Home of 2024, which reassigns numerous officers to new positions with immediate effect.

According to the order, several Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and other key officers have been transferred and posted to critical roles. This restructuring includes officers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), various district postings, and specialized departments within the police force.

Key Transfers and Postings:

  1. Sandeep Wazir, IPS, previously posted as SSP, ACB, has been repatriated to serve as AIG Personnel at Police Headquarters (PHQ).
  2. Gurinderpal Singh, IPS, Director of Police Telecommunications, will take up the role of SSP Baramulla.
  3. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, IPS will move from awaiting posting to serve as SSP Security Jammu.
  4. Mumtaz Ahmad, IPS, previously SSP Poonch, has been appointed as Commandant, IRP 12.
  5. Mohd. Aslam, IPS, former SSP Doda, will now serve as Commandant, IRP 24.
  6. Raghav S, IPS, previously Addl. SP Budgam, is now SSP Ganderbal.

The reshuffle also sees Paramvir Singh, who was the Additional Secretary of the Road Safety Council, J&K, moving to the role of SSP Reasi. Furthermore, Syed Al Tahir Gilani, previously in charge of AIG (Procurement) at PHQ, is now SO to DGP J&K.

MeT Forecasts Rain, Snow in Kashmir; Travel Advisory Issued

SRINAGAR, Nov 14: The Kashmir valley is bracing for rain and snow at many places and a few places of Jammu division during the next 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar predicted that light rain/light snow over higher reaches and at many places of Kashmir and a few places of Jammu division during late night Thursday and Friday.

The MeT office has also issued an advisory keeping in view the inclement weather, saying that there is a possibility of temporary disruption of surface transportation due to light snowfall over Zojila, Razdan pass, Sadhna pass, Sinthan top and Mughal Road during November 15.

It has also advised Tourists/Trekkers/travellers to plan their trip accordingly during the night of November 14 till November 15.

There is a possibility of light rain and snow on higher reaches and at scattered places on November 16 thereafter the weather is likely to improve towards afternoon, the MeT office said adding the weather will generally remain dry till November 23.

On November 24, the weather will generally remain cloudy with the possibility of light rain snow over higher reaches and at isolated places. Hereafter the weather is likely to remain dry till November 30.

The minimum temperature recorded during the intervention night of Wednesday and Thursday in Srinagar was 3.3 degree celsius above normal of 1.3 while the maximum temperature recorded the other day at 15.0 degree Celsius and it was 0.3 degree celsius above normal for the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the MeT office said.
